for me there are loads of 'club singer' type vocals on some great records.

i love these next two records but the vocals do remind me of dodgy club singers :lol:

Ah you two do Mr Brown's unique rich and soulful vocal a disservice methinks. For the Pyramid is the finest soul record ever made in my humble opinion.

Col was bang on with BJT. Don't mistake unique quality for soul beerdom.

How`s about this? Don`t think he`s drunk,but make your own mind up about this. I quite like it (I`m weird though) but if you haven`t heard it before, it`s bound to raise a smile or two..

Anything by Tony Middleton, Gene McDaniels or Steve Flannigan. IMHO. Perhaps not so much club singer, as a bit Las Vegassy for my liking.

Well, I have to say it starts off promisingly bad (with the pub pee-anna- and where did the flautist suddenly come from? Under the table or something?) but goes downhill and improves. I`ve heard much worse than this!
