I noticed on wicki that Get Out and make me Cry is listed as reaching no 35 in the UK charts in 65. Could you tell me on what label it came out on in the UK.

Thanks to all for the info. So to sum up i guess it was the UK re- release in 1975 on the Route label that made it to 35 in the Uk charts. I thought myself that it didn't get released in the UK in 65, thats what i was mis-interpreting in the discography. Thanks.

No it was more likely to have been Tommy Hunt's version, recorded as a cover along with Crackin Up Over You, these were massive Wigan spins courtesy of Russ and I think they were in top 3 in the "Wigan Casino Chart" that appeared in Record Mirror.

Hi Guys nope it was Bob Kuban. Tended to treat Tommy Hunt as a joke when I went to WC. However saw him at a small place here in Stockport some years later and he was very good. He did a kind of request thing in the break and sung the requests on his own without the band.

Pete, I seem to remember hearing another version around the time Harold Melvin was played but it deffo wasn't the Tommy Hunt so I'm assuming it's the Bob Kuban. Where I heard it I can't recall but I just know I heard it.

I may even have heard what was most likely the Kuban locally ie small Friday/Sunday night dos where sometimes someone pulls out the poor man's version for a play.

Just played both TH and BK on youtube. Both are quicker than HM to my ear. I think BK was the version I was thinking about in my earlier post. Wonder who claims credit for playing BK first maybe that will answer it. Good fun!

Exactly - this falls right in the middle of that period - I remember "The Night" was No.1 in that chart of top spins
