 do you think there's any connection between  the current group the black eyed peas and the group that recorded " the smallest man alive " ultra city  was wondering if the 2 groups where connected in anyway .thoughts please guys :thumbup:

that's what i heard to but can't find any documented proof , if there isnt you'd have thought there would have been some sort of law suit issued for use of group name 

They were called something else before Black Eyed Peas.

I can't see any connection. The present group were 8th graders in 1988 so around 13 years of age and residing in LA

 

The Ultra City 45 is one of Choker Campbell's labels (Detroit) and came out 5 years before they were born

I've long believed that Smallest Man Alive was released in 1970.

Is it just coincidental that four of the Black Eyed Peas singles share names of singles picked up on the Northern scene?
