Thanks for that Chalky loved every minute of it

Yep I'll second that Chalkster. Been a good morning this morning and hearing the Mighty Bub (R.I.P) spin a few oldies was just the ticket!

Fantastic stuff, was listening to the cd Chalky sent me only last week. Those bank holiday weekends in Scarborough were special days indeed, laughed all weekend, Bub had everyone hanging off his words in the Pickwick and the Salisbury. Great days indeed. R.I.P BIG MAN

Great character who lit up the room.sadly missed

Someone sent me this old pic recently, with Bub in his Mobster attire.

A bit of a rogues gallery here (and long before political correctness was deemed important).

From what I can remember back in 1977 Cleethorpes Sunday all dayers Chaiman Of The Board Give Me Just A Little More Time was a big spin of Bub's together with Van Morrison Domino. The floor was packed.

My abiding memory of Bub was when he drank the slops out of a metal bucket at the end of a night at the Central. Believe me, that didn't look like a particularly pleasant experience but Bub relished it. That's one of the things I liked about him. If he wanted to do something, he'd just go ahead and do it LOL. I like that kind of spirit. He sure packed a lot in with a relatively short time on earth. His spirit sure lives on though doesn't it?
