I've Had my copy of this for years now, see scan. I have seen other copies with larger writing on label.So is mine with the smaller text still an original or a  much later re-issue. If they are both originals which one of the two is the hardest to find.

"They" reckon the one with larger text is rarer but I doubt it

Patto , I'm no expert but Is it a West Coast / East Coast thing ?

 HI All Way back when GOD's dog was a puppy, This was a huge record on the scene, similar to the "SNAKE" which by all accounts is a top Northern Soul record, "HIDE NOR HAIR" is far superior in my opinion, and I can't imagine not having a copy, in the early days of Wigan the DECCA PINK DEMOS were the only was to have it along with the other PINK DEMOS of that time, the Issue I first had was from Mick Smith it had the large print on it I still own a large Print copy, I did not see a small print copy until 75 and then a MCA reissue, the small print I think is a reissue for the UK market like the Danny White, I can't say for certain but the large print on most US 45's indicates the original rather than a EAST or WEST COAST pressing, it is the same thing as the COASTERS "Crazy Baby" which I also got from Mick had large print, I have also considered to be the first copy, hence it's rarity today,  DAVE K

all decca copies came out in 1967....different places maybe to print the labels off. the vinyl is the same ( pink demo included ) on all decca copies.....reissued by mca in 73 at the earliest judging by the label design.....not rare on any usa label imho....bloody good record tho

Thanks for that Dave so both came out as originals at the same time 1967. As you say its a common record but after looking through the 6 pages on popsike there appears to be more large print ones than small.Both are priced roughly the same.As you say brill record great to open a set with

Don't think one is rarer than the other as such. Different pressing plants and typos. A lot of American Decca's have both large, thin and thinner typos. With copyrights infos and timming swifting from right to left of the label. And the tipped side being signified with either a "shamrock" or a "diamond". Brunswick had a lot of such examples for the black stock issues; some with large typos other with smaller ones. They are the same company. I never considered one rarer than the other.

The import MCA reissue, if thats whats being referred to, was issued in 1977 the same week as Lee Roye and Joey Heatherton.

i was saying with that label design on the mca usa reissue it would have been after late 73.....i think design was used right up to 1980

Ive put this up loads before, but why not... I assume it was released in tandem with the yank one, or shortly after..
