Just listening to 'Closer to your Heart" this morning, love this track, love his voice, but who was J.T. Carter? credits read Jay Carter, so I guess thats him, and the 'T' is a second name... other than that I know nothing about him.

Wasn't Johhny Maestro lead singer of the Crests? I'm sure he was.

For a while yes but then they went their separate ways...by the early 60's...Some Maestro records appear with JM and "The Crests" although in reality they weren't there......it was a source of friction between Maestro and the remaining Crests.
