Never seen this before...this is That's All A Part Of Loving Him by Tommie Young that I received from the US today...as you can see the arrow has been scratched into the vinyl to point out the break...which you can see by how much shinier that section is....I have had records with silver/gold pen on but never a scratched arrow...Breaks Vandal in da House!!!;)

A method used regularly by scratchers, I wonder??

electrical tape is the norm, you can cue the break that way, oh and you can remove it, doh!

Was told about some scratching in where the break is, but had put that down as urban myths. I stand corrected. D*ckheads.

What an idiot! Great record Barry, I just picked one up and think this has got legs for the crossover side.....Let's hope so!

unbelievable!..can normally see where breaks are because the groove tends to be different widths anyway?..can understand the tape to find the break quick but scratching?

They didn't do too much damage as it plays through it fine - I quite like that little bit of etched history as it happens - I've never had a record with a tattoo before

the mentality of hip hop diggers is so different, for them its all about the groove, collectability often doesn't figure.

Whatever floats yer boat I suppose G...would you give a fuck about scratching an arrow into a Hip Hop track if it pointed out a soul gem hidden within its midriff haha

I don't want to spoil a good story - but you sure that's really an arrow??!!

Could just be a random scratch on the record . . . that just happens to look a bit like an arrow  . . . and just happens to meet up with the break.

Food for thought anyway . . . . . . . . . . . . :D
