sorry no soundclip..i'm putting together a set for a pal who like the 70's mecca/cleethorpes new type sounds. i remembered a track that was a fsst suffler with  dadah dadahah dadha dadha.. repeated intro about (four times). Pretty sure it was a vocal and maybe inst flip..very popular about 75/76 and very quick beat...anyone..

Ah well, even if we don't get it, some good memories of once favourite tunes on here.

I think you were trying to throw us off the scent by saying it was a one hit wonder as fast as Captain Of My Ship

Treating mesen to an early JD chaser ;).... And breeeeathe.

Enough stimulant in you and 100lbs of pain don't sound much faster than a beat ballad :)

30 years cloud a mans mind.... ;)

...any more? ;)

Yep, I'm after a tune and can't for the life of me remember what it's called. Seem to remember the artist did a gig at the Torch - but can't remember if it's a male or female artist though. Memory is crap.

Goes something like...um,um,um, um ,um ,um. :g:

What a great thread, well done Barry,I'd never have got it in a million years from the clues, let us know when you have another 5 hours to spare Sheffsoul and we'll do it again  :wicked:

I didn't mean that the clues were irrelevant but I wouldn't have thought of lenny Welch as a fast paced cleggy stomper so would never have come up with the answer  :P
