Anyone else?  I know it's only a tenner on it's usual design but this West Coast one is one I've not seen before

It's a nice tune at any price. I remember a tune from 'back in the day' by Mamie Galore called 'Can't have cake (and eat it too)' or similar. Is that an expensive/rare tune, not seen or he

  •   I didn't hear this until late 2000's I think, I got one easy enough, but haven't had another since so I think it might be £100 or so

  • Here's my copy, but as you can see the labels are marked.   Not seen many over the years, It isn't easy to find in any condition. I would say you've done well to find a copy plus it

Can't see it.

Wasn't saying it was a world exclusive!

But still never seen it before.

just thought to look for mine and it's on the lable you posted pete, got the same drill hole as well, so maybe it was done at the same time,

joe.

Is that an expensive/rare tune, not seen or heard it anywhere in 35 years.

I've either imagined it or should get out more.

You sure it's by her, there's this one, great stuff

That's the rascal, brilliant tune. Not sure why I credited it (in my head) to Mamie Galore, I wonder if it was covered as such?

Thanks Pete. Now .... who's selling one?!

Just wonder why that didn't show up when I searched for it.

If you're using the ebay.co.uk site then that's probably why.

Lots of records on ebay.com are not showing up on the "regional" sites (.uk .ca etc.).

You have to pay extra for listings to show up on the non-US sites.

It was c/u as Gwen Owens and the Servicemen! by Pat Brady.

Tony it was covered up but for the life of me I could not remember the cover up name, its still not one I remember under that name but your memory is streets ahead of mine so no doubt you'll be right ;-)

There's an acetate of Lela Martin using the Heartache Souveneirs backing track, one of the bunch found after she died sadly

First heard this when Dave Flynn used to play it at the Dome - according to him it got a few spins at Stafford covered up as Gwen Owens...https://www.anorakscorner.com/DiscReviews2.html

Wouldn't mind hearing that, does it get played anywhere or is it tucked away in someone's collection.
