I have just uploaded this to my kindle, will read later today. One city in America I have always wanted to visit is Detroit, love the music that came out of there in 1960's.

Fantastic read, lots of interesting stuff not only about the music but the people, the city and the politics of that time ... this is a book that I will pick up many times in my life, look forward also to Memphis 68.

Keep up the great work Stuart, I had to giggle at the thought of James Jamerson with a Scottish accent ....

Would be nice to find out who the young soldier is on the front of the cover and what happened to him ....

Agree a great little snippet, brought a tear to my eye talking about Florence Ballad.

Just finished reading this book on Ibooks. A great read and now looking forward to the 68 Memphis follow-up!

Great little film. Cosgrove comes across very well indeed.

One of the very small number of commentators on this thing of ours that doesn't have me hiding behind a cushion when arriving on screen.

What a great little promo film.

Got this book from my youngest as a birthday present...

Have to say that it is a gripping book....I would recommend it to anyone with more than a passing interest in the subject.

Best regards
