As seen on evilbay, I came across this and pondered on it, I have never come across this before, how rare is it now?

You asked a good question.

I was confused when I saw it, always thought Tempos Countdown original was on mauve coloured label on Canterbury 504, and the Younghearts is a yellow label Canterbury 506 with A little togetherness & Beginning of the end.  

As 504 comes before 506 then I am struggling to see it as a first issue, 

My Manship and TB guide don't mention this as a release or bootleg but my guides are dated. No doubt someone will shed some light on the matter  

That's a legit L.A. pressing.  It was pressed both on maroon and yellow at Monarch.  I saw the yellow ones before the maroon.

It is difficult to see the deadwax matrix but my copy has the ''nashville matrix''stamp on, as per JM's guide, do you know RobbK if both yellow and maroon have this ?

They probably do on the East Coast and Midwest issues.  I don't have The Tempos on yellow, but my yellow Younghearts has only the Monarch Deltaand number, "LR" etched on and a circle insignia stamp (that I can't make out what it is).  The SAME is true for my maroon Tempos.  So, I'm guessing all the L.A. pressings were like that, and Midwest (and possibly East Coast) had Nashville Matrix.  Those L.A. pressings must have been mastered at Allied Steel (Allied fed Monarch and also used the Delta on their own pressings in their own pressing plant. 

I have the tempos CountdownHIC and younghearts ALTogetherness both on yellow styrene, but the issue number for ALT is the same as the tempos ALT on Ebay C506, I just wondered if it was a typo, that they they quickly fixed and how many copies escaped?

An extremely Rare copy Credited to The Tempos. It was an Auction Item on Manships a few years ago as I recall.

That's why I think it is mislabelled. If it was a proper release it would be credited to the Tempos on both sides! Not the Tempos on one side and the Younghearts on the other.

They probably had some labels printed as the Tempos, then changed the release to The Younghearts. 

Maybe somebody at the pressing plant made a mistake and used the Tempos label instead of the Younghearts labels on one side.

Has anyone ever seen a white demo as the Tempos?

P.S. The playing time stated is over 3 minutes on the Tempos label, but less than 3 minutes on the Younghearts label.

Steve Plumb put me on to this ages ago and managed to track one down some time ago. V rare and if I remember a slightly different mix although I've yet to take time out to really check.

The Tempos & Younghearts were almost the same group, managed by Bobby Sanders he told me that by changing 1 member of the group he had 2. He was a bit of a Del-Boy so he may well been have a part of it.

it is very rare and  I am sure JM did auction it.

I listened to the sample (which has gone now) and it sounded the same as the version by the Younghearts and Kings of Hearts. But many of the mp3 versions uploaded on to you tube and on cd are different to the actual single

This is the cd version at 50 seconds it says "You don't have to be baby, a millionaire, just stick with me baby, and together we will share" or something like

and this is the 45 version where at 50 seconds its says "A little togetherness baby, that's all we need"

 

I have an original Younghearts and a Kings of Hearts version and they are both the same as the second version I have shown above.

Does anyone have a 45 with the same lyrics as version 1 above...........does it exist as a 45?

Looking at The Younghearts "Little Togetherness" Yellow Canterbury, I've had quite a few of this title variation (ie without the "A" infront of "Little Togetherness") and they have always been without the "millionaire" line. I've also had some white demos and again, just the normal short versions. I think this may also apply to "A Little Togetherness" but can't be sure as I've never really noticed.

However, early last year I picked up a copy of "Little Togetherness" on Yellow Canterbury with the Millionaire line and decided it was one to keep. Label is identical to other "Little Togetherness" issues. (As the YouTube above but without the A in the title. everything else is identical)

I don't have a normal one to hand to comare against, but the "Millionaire" version I have here has the following runout info ...

JC 67C-506-A-RE-1 (it originally said JC 677-506-A-RE-1 but the second "7", has been overwritten with a "C") Further round is the Delta 64811

Although the "millionaire" version may (or may not) be rare on Canterbury, it is quite easy to get under the name New Younghearts on Soultown. Alongside that, all Zea copies of Kings Of Hearts are the standard short version.

He says 40 years after so; 1967 + 40 that makes 2007 or about... He doesn't say anything about the flip-side credit being the Younghearts which should lead us to undertstand together with the proper credited promo copy that it was just a misprint. I think he kind of made up a theory with vague memories of those old-timers mixed-up grapevine legend...

Noticed this one myself and didn't realise there was a Tempos copy, but it is in Manship's book priced at £250. Interesting as well as the Younghearts on Canterbury there is the one on Soul Town and also Zea both as promo and issue.

What is the difference in calculation between 40 years LATER or AFTER ?

The Younghearts came out in 1967,  The Soultown release by The New Younghearts was 3 years later in 1970.  The Zea release was about 1972.
