Very droll Ian. Personally, I find the more time I spend in record stores, the more sociable I become, even asking the owner politely for a chair so the missus can sit down and relax for five hours. I draw the line at growing a beard to appear dysfunctional as being mistaken for a Jazz fan is unfunny.

Actually, I'm getting fed up of all these 'vinyl sales up' stories and those Christmas present suggestion articles featuring Crosley briefcases. On a positive note though, any demand for record players and vinyl accessories can only be good for us serious collectors.

The thought of wearing a beard to go shopping doesn't seem to bode well with me, but as monty python once said my names Brian too. Anyway my husband may not like it or would he:rofl:

Well I'm not actually with any company at this point in time, so nothing to measure. This may change but right now I'm unencumbered by any corporate baggage......:)

Articles in today's Telegraph and Times about the resurgence of vinyl but in a serious tone. Makes you wonder what might happen to the prices of rare soul records once the world wakes up to what it's been missing.

Have you ever considered that all those people were scared because they considered you to be the socially inept male?

Ha! Thanks for confirming… not mainstream, not part of the herd... definitely a threat to the stereotypical alpha males (Northern Soul or otherwise) in particular. :thumbsup:

Knowing Maryam all these years I can guarantee she's all female and so nice with it,(please don't take that the wrong way),as for the strange bit,that's my bag along with all crate digging socially inept males.and proud of it I am.
