Must admit win place or show is an utter masterpiece the intro etc still blows me away got most of their stuff on Gamble etc but to me there hit  new heights with Philly Int. Masters of the Philly Sound and a massive loss to the world of soul music ! 

Their Excel 45 "All The Time/Gonna Be Strong as always been a favourite of mine.

Low in price , high in quality

R.I.P Sonny.

By the way folks just incase you Philly Soul fans did not get round to getting it the Tom Moulton remixes are bloody fantastic imho particularly the Intruders stuff etc !

Fabulous group, I only just "discovered" the flip to Up And Down The Ladder which was such an original scene monster I never played the A side!.

I'm not sure that Sonny was technically the greatest singer but he had an instantly recognisable voice with great soul and personality.  Up and Down The Ladder was always a huge favourite, but Check Yourself wasn't far behind.  RIP soul man.

First Little Sonny and now Big Sonny !!! Another loss to the world of Philly soul !!
