After a nice copy of the above.Would like a U.K original CBS 1967 frst issue.The one that is credited to Andre Brasseur and his Multi Sound Organ.Not bothered about the later 1971 reissue

Or would love real deal U.S original not the look a like counterfeit boot

I had the 2nd press on US Congress Demo not got now 

But i think the Original W/D should have  stamped 11 in run out .

Mine didn't just etched in record number

Plus iv'e never seen an original US copy or Demo 

BTW Ged Beggs played it at The Box on Sunday & it filled the floor

The congress original has a stamped 'R' in the deadwax.

 THE KID THE REPRO HAS 10.40MM RUN OUT .ORIGINAL MATRIX IS K-10163-1 STAMPED NOT ETCHED & DIRECTLY OPPOSITE A R STAMPED  any thing else patto is a counterfeit .got fooled as a youngster on that one .

I've just looked at Discogs and can see a definite original promo being classified as a reissue. These were pressed in at least two RCA plants and possibly a third too.

As neckender has pointed out there is a promo with an R stamped in the runout. This is the RCA Rockaway copy. It has the star to the right of the title "Holiday".

The copy with the star to left of "Holiday" and called a reissue on discogs looks completely legit to me, just pressed at another of the RCA plants, either Hollywood (should have an H in the runout) or Indianapolis (an I). The clue to their authenticity is in the typesetting, the subtleties of which bootleggers just wouldn't have got anywhere close to between forty and fifty years ago. 

 

 

Adding another complication is this one: typesetting which looks like it emanates from Burt & Co. Los Angeles and pressed at RCA Hollywood.

There are red-labelled Canadian issues too.

The very first issue is the Belgian Palette with picture cover ! André Brasseur is Belgian and it was recorded in Belgium. Jus' sayin'...

The track we all refer to as The Kid is really Holiday isn't it?

Mhhh... can't say, I have sold my Belgian Palette copy ages ago so I can't compare the matrix with the label, but you could be right. One would have to check.
