It's a BBC change of programme. because they have a PC  duty to keep its puplic informed regarding the corona virus . Why didn't they have enough news outlets? Beggars belief 

Thanks Winsford Soul for your reply. I was concerned he might not be well. The noise BBC are currently playing is dire pop - Richards show is much missed.

 

He's posted a previously unaired 2 hour show on Mixcloud this evening and is on Solar from noon tomorrow as usual.

John Kane's show also dropped on BBC Radio Leeds , York & Sheffield .

Craig Charles continues on BBC Radio 6 , Saturdays 6-9pm .

Don't see the logic of taking Richard off to provide more news updates but then playing pop. The people who normally tune in will turn off in droves and then won't get the updates - which are already coming thick and fast from a zillion other outlets anyway, and could easily be broadcast over whatever Richard and John are broadcasting. Not quite understanding the point of this editorial policy ... and causing people to worry that they might be ill is even irresponsible.

Don't mention Craig Charles, things are bad enough.😳😉😁.

Richard has now put up two 'lost' shows and an Aretha Franklin special on Mixcloud in the last two weeks.

His Solar Radio show continues on Sunday lunch, first hour is drawn from the Friday/Mixcloud show and the second his 'Rare and Well Done' show with more Modern Soul and mellow spins.

Good to have those and all the other wonderful Mixcloud shows at present. Thanks to everyone who takes the time to do them including Colin Curtis, Pete Smith, Roger Williams and so many more.

Good to see Eddie Piller's broadcasts on Totally Wired radio and mixcloud continuing ...

... also  the Spinout Show at NCB Radio on line  every Wednesday 6 till 8pm with Dave and Lee Grimshaw  playing a good cross section of R&B, Mod, Hammond stuff, very refreshing music.
