Tomangoes
Impressive...and all that jazz. OKeh. Okeh Records is an American record label founded by the Otto Heinemann Phonograph Corporation, a phonograph supplier established in 1916, which branched out into phonograph records in 1918. The name was spelled "OkeH" from the initials of Otto K. E. Heinemann but later changed to "OKeh". Duh.. I thought it was from an american Indian word, okeh, used as an affirmative reply to a question.. Or an expansion of the miss spelt abbreviation of all korrect (ok) first printed in 1839 alledgidly... Ed Link to comment Social source share

Denbo
Do any of the images in this book show any American Okeh 45s with an integral tri-centre? Edited May 17 by Denbo Link to comment Social source share

No. Only the solid small hole US Okeh mini LP / jukes (Major Lance etc.), or the UK Columbia EPs with the usual 4 prong push-outs. I'm curious now though. Have you seen one? Denbo
I have indeed and it's on it's way in the post as we speak, it's an early American Okeh 45 with an integral tri-centre. I'll post it up as soon as it arrives. Got it off a good friend who knows how much I like oddities like this. PS - As well as the UK Columbia EPs with the 4 pronged push-outs, there is of course the 45rpm singles as well. Denbo
Here we go. I for one have never seen one before and was wondering how common or rare they might have been? 1 Link to comment Social source share
