don't know if I was 15 or 16, round that time, 'one in ten' UB40, cos so many of my friends left school and signed on and I was one of the lucky ones and got a job in a factory at piece work rates. That record resonated for us... and I was thankful for that job.

Musically as a 16 year old, Black Music was my forte back then, and the track that stands out through varying reasons at the time was Freda Payne- Band of Gold, simply because it was one of the first tunes I remember on entering the beginning of the "real world"............... A long time ago and very surreal
