September 7, 200717 yr Emotions is a lovely crossover record that I think featured on a past Kent CD and has had the odd play. Probably retails for £15-20 John
September 7, 200717 yr Author Apparently one of The Spinners tracks was up for £100 recently! I'll take half that
September 7, 200717 yr JACKIE MOORE - THIS TIME BABY - CBS DIONNE WARWICK - ONCE YOU HIT THE ROAD - WARNER Only two i,m familiar with, and both are excellent tunes!! How much??
September 7, 200717 yr Author JACKIE MOORE - THIS TIME BABY - CBS DIONNE WARWICK - ONCE YOU HIT THE ROAD - WARNER Only two i,m familiar with, and both are excellent tunes!! How much?? Really, no idea, thats why I was asking. Someone already asked for the Jackie Moore record. Tenner for Dionne?
September 7, 200717 yr MIKE DAVIS - AIN'T NO STOPPING US NOW -JIVE sold recently for $200 Pete....go get em bro
September 7, 200717 yr Tower of Power one is a nice tune, guess you would have heard that one before Pete. Not worth much more than a couple of quid though i'd have thought.
September 7, 200717 yr Apparently one of The Spinners tracks was up for £100 recently! I'll take half that Pete whats the B side?
September 7, 200717 yr SMOKEY ROBINSON - JUST TO SEE HER - MOTOWN Won't nett you a great deal (£10ish), but for anyone who doesn't know this and wants a great Smokey record from the 80s, buy it blind. You won't be disappointed. Brian
September 7, 200717 yr Author MIKE DAVIS - AIN'T NO STOPPING US NOW -JIVE sold recently for $200 Pete....go get em bro Are you winding me up Paul?
September 7, 200717 yr Author "Now that you're mine again" ? Derek No it's "I've got to make it on my own"...
September 7, 200717 yr Tyrone Davis is excellent but only worth a fiver Blood sweat and tears was very popular last year Pete and is £15 or so Split decision has been popular up here for years as well Pete- Not that easy to get on 45 and its obviously UK as it wasnt released in US on 45 still not very much though £10-£15 I would think Edited September 7, 200717 yr by Ernie Andrews
September 7, 200717 yr THE TAMS - TOO MUCH FOOLING AROUND - CAPITOL This is only borderline '70s, being recorded in 1970, and is actually more '60s style, I've played it at Barrow Hill and the Qube - it's in the same vein as Be Young Be Foolish Be Happy
September 7, 200717 yr MIKE DAVIS - AIN'T NO STOPPING US NOW -JIVE sold recently for $200 Pete....go get em bro You are joking!! Have the LP with this on from early 90's.......no 45 unfortunately!! Cheers, Mark R
September 7, 200717 yr Better than the o'jays version funny - used to play this out in normal clubs years ago - and I enjoy the Ojays version more now Wulfie
September 7, 200717 yr DONALD BYRD - Electra I think this one is a double sider Pete - and I wouldn't have thought expensive, as it was popular in the Jazz Funk/Club scene - and doubt its that rare ( well it can't be cos I found one in my garage) probably sells for a fiver or less - and if someone else comes and says different my copy can go too Wulfie
September 7, 200717 yr No it's "I've got to make it on my own"... That's weird my copy of the 12" has "Now that you're mine again" Derek
September 7, 200717 yr Author That's weird my copy of the 12" has "Now that you're mine again" Derek Hang on I think we may be at cross purposes here, the record I'm on about is Living a little laughing a little b/w I've got to make it on my own, but it's from pre-12" days, 1975 - did I reply about the wrong record?

I've Got to Make It On My Own is the side, Pat Brady had one up for a ton a while back - dunno if its sold or not though
September 7, 200717 yr DIONNE WARWICK - ONCE YOU HIT THE ROAD - WARNER Great tune but probably only about a tenner
September 7, 200717 yr Hang on I think we may be at cross purposes here, the record I'm on about is Living a little laughing a little b/w I've got to make it on my own, but it's from pre-12" days, 1975 - did I reply about the wrong record? Yes i thought the question was about the B-side of "Split decision" Derek
September 7, 200717 yr Yes i thought the question was about the B-side of "Split decision" Derek Replied about the wrong thing Edited September 7, 200717 yr by richard
September 7, 200717 yr Replied about the wrong thing There was a thread on here asking, was this the rarest Spinners track.Obviously not and stated as being valued at £20-£30.
September 7, 200717 yr Replied about the wrong thing Mmm didn't realise we were talking about the NOT rare but hugely overpriced one. "Split decision" on 45 is a good deal more ellusive. But neither of them are worth more than £15-20 IMO. Derek
September 7, 200717 yr Mmm didn't realise we were talking about the NOT rare but hugely overpriced one. "Split decision" on 45 is a good deal more ellusive. But neither of them are worth more than £15-20 IMO. Derek I'm not saying worth a ton, Mr Brady has that honour
September 7, 200717 yr I'm not saying worth a ton, Mr Brady has that honour Mr Brady always had an "enthusiastic" pricing policy. What gets me is the people who pay these prices. Where is the logic a uk issue 45 on Atlantic by the Spinners from the mid 70's on what basis would you anyone believe it was worth a ton? Derek
September 8, 200717 yr Emotions is a lovely crossover record that I think featured on a past Kent CD and has had the odd play. Probably retails for £15-20 John stealing love is A GREAT TUNE ,done alot of good stuff on twin stacks etc, their best volt track is a track you make me want to love you,not many know it ,check it out. BAZ A
September 9, 200717 yr I think I´m familiar with all records listed. Most of them may not be worth that much, but are quite nice music-wise. One example: the record by Impact is a cheapie, but quite nice in my opinion. Group features an ex-member of the Temptations. Best, Melismo
September 9, 200717 yr put the emotions and the chilites (uk only on seven) in the loft - low value now, but in the future they'll fetch good money the ashford and simpson is a jazzfunk-dayer anthem that will have it's day in the modern rooms at some time in the future you're gettin a good ear for the modden stuff pete, i'm impressed

September 11, 200717 yr Yes he's Damon Harris who has superb house/garage hit called It's Music as a solo artist. Inspired by your post I just pulled out his self-titled solo set from 1978 on Fantasy Records. Haven´t played this since I don´t know when... Cheers, Melismo

September 12, 200717 yr Isn't it Damon Harris who is at Prestatyn in Oct? Yes, Damon Harris Temptation´s revue will be at Prestatyn. It´s the same guy who was in Impact. He did the falsetto lead in the Temptations for about five years, singing on for instance "Papa Was A Rolling Stone". Then he went on to record a solo album, including the well-received disco tune "My Music" and he has also done session work singing behind artists such as Rose Royce...
