Tony Owens - I Need, I Need Your Love (soulin)

Supergood midtempo ballad from New Orleans.

I have a couple of copies going, from dead stock but have slight storage / label wear so would grade overall VG+/VG++ £30

I also have a copy in similar nick but with an edge lift (plays fine here) £20

Great song and production, usually seen at £75

great 45....how does this compare to the Philharmonics pricewise....?......same?

I would say that the Philharmonics is more common... I had a whole load of those a few years ago, literally 50 copies. That would be £30, £35 M- I reckon. I think I'm under-pricing the Tony Owens but I wanted to turn them around quickly (I only have a very small handful). In any case I think its one of the hardest titles on the label.

I'd agree with the above, and it's also a better soul record than the Philharmonics too.

The ultimate beat ballad in my humble opinion.

Blimey!

I left a mint red label copy on a shelf at the weekend.

Hadn't heard it in an age, played it, didn't think that much of it.

I did however ask for the Dover Dist factory sleeve it was in, which the shop owner was happy to let me have.
