But the best new sound to me was butchs 4 Perfections C/UP.

Awesome uptempo northern with a bit of funk to it. Great!

Yes Tony, Its a crackin tune---first time I've heard it ,but never out at a do. 1971 release I think.

The Singing Tornadoes on Expression and the Veda coverup sounded great for 2008 :thumbsup:

Yep, awesome tune. Remember the buzz going round the Backbeat room at Middleton when I heard it last year.

For 2008 though, by far my top tune is Be Gone - Jimmy Brown!!!!! Courtesy of both Hoss and Ted Couldstone. Great hard driving beat. Brilliant!!! If my memory serves me correctly it's the 'B' Side of Always Be Good To Me.

Regarding Barbara Perry-A Man Is A Mean,Mean thing, It could have heard it in the backbeat room? But If I stay in there to long,I dont know why but I get a bit claustrophobic.
