  4. Judging by the posts I'd say that its always been around, from venues like Wheel and Torch through the Mecca and Wigan but died out during the renaissance.
  5. Might upset a few people but two of the biggest "sunshine pop" records must be Nothing Can Compare to You Velvet Satins I Can't Help Loving You Paul Anka. Writer and production credits feature an ex Four Season not to mention the pop background of Mr Anka Love 'em both btw

  14. I understand that there were a few promo's available a few months ago these have since gone and (we) are eagerly awaiting the arrival of a pre-orderred release copy fromSoul Brother . Question is, is the release now available? someone has one on discogs at £69.99 is this a release or promo? has demand created another BLD situation as the man said get it now its a fantastic slab of mids 70s soul

Worth it for the story that went with it!
  16. Not true, I Don't have the disc anymore but it was definitely vinyl, all the Impressions' singles and others including Rosey Grier from that period 1968-1970 are on vinyl.
  17. I was pondering this the other day used to have a Natural Four ITYWM on ABC which was very thick compared to a Len Barry I Struck it Rich (pink DECCA demo) which was very thin. Dave Love Colalined Baby is another one (thick) Funny its only the vinly pressings that show this the styrene ones seem to be a consistent thickness.
  18. On the same token The Zoo by the Commodores
  19. Clearly stamped original, and been on a lot of wants lists in the past 2 years.

  22. This is from '83 with a different numbering system but the same lable design J Bennings & R Banks are on the credits? B side is The Bellringer instrumental (which I assume is a re-issue of the Hoagy Lands)
