    Fantastic to have to play at home, the instrumental side anyway lol. At the risk of being slaughtered, I just hope every Tom, Dick and Harriet doesn't start playing it out (with the exception of Banks and Jones of course) oops, didn't see Capital SC's T,D&H post til just now, no intentional reference meant

    I'm talking about now Chalky. I have to say 'upfront' is not a term I have been aware of that much with regards to advertising an event until relatively recently. To me it means playing something other than soul (funky edge for example) which isn't for me. Some love it, good for them, but not for me I'm afraid. Some people close their ears and don't want to hear anything new, I'm as far from that as you can get. I have listened and decided I don't like it. Have I said it's not for me?

    I posted that 'upfront' venues appear to be ones that play 'funky edged' stuff because that's how it appears to me. Northern / soul venues don't use the term as far as I'm aware? Could be wrong of course
