What's you biggest sales cock-up?
I really don't know where to start but a mint Nathen Williams on Lime for £60 wasn't my finest hour even if i had only paid $2 for it. After I promised it to the buyer I got endless emails etc. aking if i was mad?, wtf there has ever been much doubt about that.

Burnley Cats Whiskers All-dayers 28 May 79
Hector from Bradford and Myself had a very very similar experience at Va Va's, they called the old bill, net result when the news got round, hardly anybody turned up for the next couple of nighters and I think it closed for nighters very soon after. I told the, pain in the arse, manager this would happen if he rang the old bill, but he just wouldn't have it. Bouncers busting people was just plain wrong IMHO.

Duke Browner
Torch/Cats/Early Mecca sound. Hard to say which one first, but if I was forced, I'd say Pep at the Cats, maybe with a little help from the London lads Dave Rivers et al. If not probably Ian at the Mecca.

Wigan Burns, Piano remains
True, I had to take my own "make-up" to the filming, and Ian wasn't really the best at applying it, to be honest.

Wigan Burns, Piano remains
Wood Eye ? By the way do you still have that Canadian Epic copy of Levi Jackson ?
-
Wigan Burns, Piano remains
Could it be that the piano has been superimposed onto the picture and it's just really the origin of fake news ?.
-
Wigan Burns, Piano remains
Which is exactly why I asked, maybe its the same piano in 1968ish from when the Harlem Jonns (not John's) Reshuffle played there ?.

Wigan Burns, Piano remains
I may be being dumb here, but what is on the back of the LP ?.

Bradford Queens Hall Any One With Any Old Photos
I'm not sure you quite had the hang of going to nighters if you had to eat before Tuesday.

Club Playlists / Big Sounds 73-74
Nope.

Club Playlists / Big Sounds 73-74
I could hardly remember my own name back then, let alone what was covered up by who, when and where.
-
Club Playlists / Big Sounds 73-74
Chimes would probably be The Chymes on Okeh Bring It Back Home. Ben Atkins is probably a typo and is actually Ben Aiken Satisfield on Loma I too am flummoxed by Carroll Lloyd, possible cover up ?, you are probably right about the last two. Then again, there were a lot of cover ups about in those days so I could be wrong on all counts.

Worst Intro?
Laura Green Moonlight Music and You, not only is it a dreadful intro but, to add insult to injury, it leads into a dreadful record too !.

Soul Sounds record label. Legit or bootlegs?
All the Soul Sound "releases ?", were numbered 10xx not just Alexander Patton, they came in 4 colours White, Yellow, Green and Orange, as to why AP should be on two colours, I don't know, but maybe it was just a second run on another colour blank to meet extra demand.
-
Soul Sounds record label. Legit or bootlegs?
Ain't that the truth Jnr, how either of those got a release in the first place is a puzzler.
-
Soul Sounds record label. Legit or bootlegs?
They were bootlegs, it's hardly a secret and neither is who did them, but they all have the a/b side of the original releases, I don't think any had "another labels product" included, "back to back". Maybe a moot point but accuracy is always important.

Got me thinking…biggest regret
It sat there on the bar for an hour, so I supped it, it was flat, but no worries.
