  1. my mistake. just put those cassettes in the green bin for collection tomorrow, whoever that recorded them and wrote the track listings was on mind altering drugs. Maybe should have 'digitize' them?
  2. Also have tapes (from labeling & track list): November 1978 Cleethorpes Soul Sam April 1979 St. Ives Soul Sam
  3. I have 2 tapes, both labelled Peterborough 22/07/78 Vincent: 1. Syng McGowan - Flamma - Betty Boo 2. Sam Williams - Flamma - Temptones (Artic)
  4. It was sold on ebay in 2008 for £316. You, Pete & myself had a complete sound file which i lost in a hard drive death, but have never been too bothered about it's loss. Kev Roberts interviewed LA in 2015 and played a snippet, the interview is still probably on-line somewhere.
  5. 'Sound of Soul' magazines Issues 1 to 5 by Martin Scragg had a 'guide to cover-ups’. Maybe someone has them and could scan the guide?
  6. have you tried a PM to pumpkinseed on here, he might still have a copy.
  7. A newly list item is a Grovesville acetate > Eddie Holiday & Joey Kingfish - I Won't Hurt You Anymore. The label scans suggests the other side, which is blank, would be a track called "come on back" what song might that be, JJ Barnes?
  8. The bass on this is practically inaudible. There is someone playing, but must be not plugged in or miked up. Maybe a reason for not getting beyond the test-press stage
  9. It's found itself in a pile of 'returns' hence drill hole. Then it goes to a thrift store where they put their stamp on the sleeve and a price stamp of 69 cents which goes through onto the disk to leave a very slight mark. ?
  10. For anyone with an interest in Motown recordings: https://www.dftmc.info/index.html https://www.dftmc.info/titles/tt-09.htm
  11. the site has suffered from some 'cross contamination' of content and because of how Google works has no doubt come up if you put in Marc, Gordon, producer, so pretty much irrelevant.
  12. So which of these 'most after' don't you have?
  13. Was it recorded on a ZOOM call whilst they were driving HGV's?
  14. I noticed that, funny as f*ck ..... I wonder if Alanis Morissette ever attended? Stafford memories: Going in the 'disco' before with Jo-Anne to bop to Colonel Abrahams Billy from Stoke did exist - best gear Terry ever had, but being subjected to 'what's that song, i can get you off my mind ah ar' for 3 plus hours ad nausea on the way home (Little Ron) Ian Clarke, laughing and saying to me 'look more DJs than punters'
  15. The 'downfall' started when they changed it's name to "Fatty Arbuckles" or as my mate, a local, referred to it as the 'Disco Inferno' ............... burn the mother down
  16. Thanks Mick, what software did you use? I thought they must be docyored, but Ady C does have a male version acetate of Carla, unless he's playing it at the wrong speed! I did have a CD of 'remixes' but they were shockingly bad attempts.
