I wonder if its to do with tracked and none tracked decks? I've had records that jump on my non tracked deck but play fine on my tracked decks - just a thought!
  4. Nice find; 45 or 33 1/3?
  5. Well whoever at Stardust paired Liz Verdi with a Cilla Black track, at least had a sense of humour, they do share a similar vocal style:-\

  11. How you doin Pete? Not rare but been popular for some years now. What I don't get is people paying this sort of money for beat up copies, whats that all about?
  12. Is this the same version as the one that Kenny Burrell had on an acetate? His was untitled and he played it under the name of Billy Arnell - so asumming he thought his was by a white singer. For what it's worth, I like the "Tighten Up" style guitar licks in this - but prefer Jay's version
  13. Not sure if this ever gets played out(or has already been mentioned), but I never heard it out after the Casino shut its doors:

Don't want to send the thread of in a different direction, only when I read your post I remembered I had this somewhere. I can't remember what record I bought that had this cover, and I never went there, but might bring back some memories for those who did. I love these old sleeves.
  24. I used to love going for a wander around the place, I'd never been anywhere with such "character" and so many "characters" at that point in my life.
