  1. Announced what is delayed until November ??????? The Holland-Dozier-Holland: The Complete 45s Collection has already been released.
  2. I actually did a three hour show on Banbury Radio which featured nothing but Kent / Kent Select / 100 Club Anniversary singles a couple of years ago, I must have a copy on CD somewhere.
  3. I certainly have no problem playing 100 Club Anniversary singles, or previously unreleased things on Kent select. I've also, despite Ady's comments to the contrary earlier in the thread, never had a problem playing unreleased stuff that he has kindly given me. And it's not as though I DJ on the Modern scene is it So the simple answer is, yep, people do still want unreleased sixties putting out, and some DJs will quite happily assist you in doing that
  4. And I've never heard of any of those people either !
  5. Ha ha, there's one particular seller who lists on a regular basis who is ALWAYS double the price of anywhere else, and they keep listing the same records week after week. Like you, I stopped looking at these listings a long time ago.
  6. I've re-opened the thread because I've had a number of queries about how to get hold of these from Numark. Basically I used the contact page on their website: https://www.numark.com/contact and sent them an email asking if it was possible to still buy the dust covers. It took them about two weeks to reply, but when they did, they supplied the part number, and a UK telephone number where I could ring up and buy them. (Unfortunately when my two dust covers arrived I deleted the email with the part number and telephone number) There is actually a UK contact number on the above page, so you could just try ringing that number. Hope this helps everyone.
  7. Glenn Gunton kindly asked me to add to a basic timeline he had compiled for this box set, and assuming the info I supplied hasn't been edited out, the 'Timeline' does mention loads of 'post Wigan' clubs. I've just counted up, and using 1981 as the dividing line, the info I supplied had 16 clubs running before that date, and 31 after. Of course I will not have included everywhere that held a NS night, and some people will disagree with some of the venues included or omitted, but I think that's a pretty fair ratio of significant venues and clubs.
  8. It turns out that Numark themselves still have stock of these, so I bought two for £20 each. Thanks to all that offered help

And then there's this page, which is more accurate, and has more records listed. https://www.soulfulkindamusic.net/capitol.htm
  10. As Matt says, there isn't really anywhere specific left to go. (And there are enough people in NY collecting to have long hoovered up all the good stuff.) When we were there last year I didn't buy a single record in NY.
  11. Just pre ordered a copy of the DVD for under a tenner with free postage from WOWcd
  12. And where were they stolen ? Birmingham's quite a big place, so being able to narrow it down slightly will also narrow down the potential number of suspects.
  13. The listing on my site is complete as far as it goes. The problem with Kent is the buggers keep releasing things and I haven't the time to update it every week, or even every month (Especially as they also release singles and the odd LP as well) !
  14. So am I, and I was born and brought up within ten miles of Wigan !

Peace at last ! Two members offered copies, so thank you guys.

I have this constant buzzing noise in my ears, that is increasing in volume as the days go by, I get the feeling it will only stop when someone sells me a copy of this bloody record !!!! I beseech the members of Soul Source, relieve my torment, sell Jessica a copy of Roy Hamilton !
  17. This thread is becoming very much like the programme itself.........same old same old ! I have to agree with most though, it was a good effort to portray the Seventies, (Which is what it professed to be) and someone should make a documentary that covers Stafford onwards.
  18. Had a look, they look OK, except they are out of stock ! So I'm still looking everyone
  19. Thanks Keith, I'll have a look,
  20. I have a dilemma. I'll buy the CD, and I'll buy the DVD of the film when it comes out, and I really like the look of the box set of singles. However, if I bought the singles, they would stay in the box and never be played, simply because I very rarely listen to singles at home now (Gone all CD and digital there), and I wouldn't even consider playing them when I DJ being an OVO facist . My dilemma is this, I quite like the look of the book that comes with the singles, so is it worth lashing out seventy odd quid for. Probably not, so my question is this: Is there any possibility of the book being made available independently of the singles. Or is there a SS member who is basically illiterate, who would split the set with me
  21. Lee Fisher has a copy for sale on his latest list. Contact him on benray@sky.com
  22. Thanks Russ, That's why I'm having trouble finding them
  23. Does anyone know whether these are still available ? And where can I buy them from ? (I only want the dust cover, not the turntable)
