Just imagine... Someone attempts to show off and has a bid (with no intention of buying it), just so they can say they bid on it. What would happen to them if the ended up being the winning bidder? Would they have to complete the transaction? Does John Manships auctions differ from Ebay, is it legally binding? PS I have no intention of bidding. My Tamla Motown copy is sufficient enough for me.

My least favourite thing is the toilets being the opposite end to the bar. So to get to either one you risk bodily injury trying to avoid various limbs being spun about on the dancefloor! As for trying to traverse the dancefloor area with drinks in your hand it's near on impossible. Second least favourite thing is not having enough money for the sales boxes.

I believe production of these ceased, when bloody great speed bumps appeared on the nations roads!

Mischief, I saw the Debra Johnson one on a list for £50 the other day. I would have said the Hytones would've been about the same price. The other two maybe £30 - £40. These are just guesstimates. I started a thread asking values for these last year, which may help. Here's the link.

Does anyone feel that the lack of memberships nowadays has any effect? Every other week there seems to be comments about handbaggers & people just out for extra drinks. So although memberships are no longer in place, does the in flux of people who aren't into the music, put off those who love the music? (does that make sense? ). I don't dance, but when I've seen outsiders dancing with pints in hand, it tends to make the regulars get off the dancefloor and head for the exits. Should memberships be brought back?

What is with the trees inside? What was that all about? I had a look through some of the pictures. It does seem a waste of a venue, but I suppose nowadays people socialise in different ways. Also having visited Blackpool once a couple of years back I won't be in a hurry to return. I don't think Blackpool can pull in the crowds like it used to, except for maybe stag & hen parties who just want to get pissed for a weekend. I like it, but as most people have said "over familiarilty breeds contempt". Mind you I couldn't tell you when I last heard it played out . As for Pikeys mention of only if it was an original, what about all those UK originals? That is a subject that I always find confusing. Why some records it seems to be acceptable to play the UK release, whereby it isn't for others. FW for example.
