  1. On that note: I'm in Sweden and I actually have a couple of packages on their way to the UK right now and they're taking an unusually long time to arrive. Don't know if it's because of Christmas back-log or something else. One has been in the UK postal system since January 7, but still hasn't been delivered... 😔

As explained above, if the seller is using the "margin scheme" accounting method then there is no reclaimable VAT on second-hand goods. Juno and Vinyl Underground are only selling new goods as far as I know, that's why the VAT is deducted. The reason Crazy Beat is deducting VAT on used goods is probably because they don't use the "margin scheme" method and instead use regular VAT accounting across the board. The margin scheme method is optional and does create a lot more work accounting wise, so some sellers that only sell small amounts of used goods mixed in with the new goods use the "regular" method because it's easier.

If you're a VAT registered seller of second hand goods in the EU and you're using the "margin scheme" accounting method, then there is no VAT to be charged from the buyer on used items. There is no VAT on individual items, instead when you as a seller pay the end-of-year VAT to the HMRC (or corresponding organ in your country) the VAT amount is based on the total profit margin. It has got nothing to do with what each individual item sells for so a seller can't deduct VAT, because the price does not include VAT. A seller can ofcourse deal in both used and new items and those sales should be accounted for in different manners. If you as a non-EU buyer buy one used item and one new item, then the VAT should be deducted from the new item, but not from the used item (because it does not include VAT). Hope this makes sense... 4. Those are the song writers, but may not be the singers.
  5. 2-3 weekdays for regular airmail. Sometimes takes a few more days with registered. 1-3 45s: $8 / £6 for regular mail. $15 / £12 for registered.
  6. ...or Walter "Butterball" Davis, who also had a release on LA CADE?
  7. As Simon T hinted at above, the "Joseph Webster" cover-up is "They Don't Want To See Us Together" by Bobby And Walter on LA CADE.
  8. Many Tangerine releases are available on both styrene and vinyl, and those late 1970-1973 releases like Tommy Payton, Neal Kimble, Madelyn Quebec etc. used very thin vinyl.

  10. It's a cheap modern day "studio group" remake by someone calling themselves "The Hit Co.". Released on a digital only release from 2009 called "Wedding Reception Vol. 2". It's on the APM label, a "library" music label that owns KPM, Bruton, etc.

  16. Contrary to what I wrote above, it's not Curtis Mayfield singing the lead on the newly discovered 45, it's Sam Gooden. I was corrected by Ian "Taffy" Guy regarding this on an FB thread yesterday.
  17. Just found the thread on FB by Eddie Hubbard. Yes, that's the same take as on the CD I mentioned. I have no idea why anyone would want to hear that version instead of the Leroy Hutson version, but horses for courses.
  18. There's an alternate version with Curtis Mayfield doing the lead vocals included on the "Indelible Impressions" double-CD on Sequel from 1999. It's a mess compared to the Leroy Hutson led version. Perhaps that's the one that has sneaked on an a 45? I don't know. Do you have a link to the sales post, or in which group was it?
  19. The 1974/1975 release or one from the 60's?
  20. Have in mind that the Brazil 45 is from 1974 or 1975.
  21. The Virtue and Fayette releases must be by the same artist. Frank Virtue owned both of those labels. The Amy 45 has got Virtue mastering details in the dead wax so is most likely the same person as well.
  22. Here it is. Also @Davlee
