Ive got the 'Modern soul story volume 1' double Lp. It's got some great tracks on it, including the ever in demand Stevens and Foster 'I want to be loved' There's a couple for sale on Discogs €45 and $75 . A bit steep, I would have thought

Bobby Womack At Glastonbury
Chic were fantastic, really proffessional. Nile Rodgers cool as f**k. Female vocalists were spot on, and the Glastonbury crowd loved them. Great set from them :-)

What Is This ?
The three Patrick Moten produced tracks off the 'No Sweeter Love' album are just sublime. I remember Richard Searling playing 'Crazy' it blew me away the first time I heard it. 26 years later, it still blows me away. Proper soul music :-)

Executive Four-Good Thing Going-Lumar
Another of Searling's plays, late days of Wigan. Covered up as Robert L Martin. He certainly broke some tunes 78 to 81 that remain dog rare til this day.

Larry Clinton
Yep. How good is that?

Larry Clinton
It is funny how how we like or dislike stuff, I put Eddie Parker 'I'm Gone' in the same vein as Larry Clinton, just a wall of noise to my ears !! I know they're both revered, but both leave me cold. I've only just heard the John Harris and the Soul Sayers for the first time today, how good is that? It's a long time since a 60's track has grabbed my attention, like that has. Pete

Larry Clinton
Searling used to play it definitely, think it was a Sam play first??? I'm afraid it does nothing for me, never has done. Pete
