  1. Ive got the 'Modern soul story volume 1' double Lp. It's got some great tracks on it, including the ever in demand Stevens and Foster 'I want to be loved' There's a couple for sale on Discogs €45 and $75 . A bit steep, I would have thought
  2. I'm walking down this lonely avenue......
  3. Good shout. It's one of the most heart wrenching songs ever......
  4. Passing seasons all but fade away. 36 years ago I first heard that, and still makes the hairs on my neck stand up
  5. I just want to fall in love No games no deals just love Just plain and simple love The Spinners
  6. An absolute snip at £49.00
  7. Hi Pete This is not the tracklisting that you listed in the thread you just locked. any chance of uploading that one please. Thanks
  8. Osamu Kitajima is a stunning tune, its one I never tire of hearing
  9. https://youtu.be/WcvvcuwAOU8 My favourite summer tune
  10. Bobby is in fine voice :-). He is a legend. Altrina sounding pretty good too
  11. Chic were fantastic, really proffessional. Nile Rodgers cool as f**k. Female vocalists were spot on, and the Glastonbury crowd loved them. Great set from them :-)
  12. Cheap as chips. Theres one on Discogs for 60P. great tune
  13. Is this rare now? Great CD. Fish always had it for sale, back in the day.
  14. Great record, Searlings Tyrone Edwards 'Search this world' cover up. Was Searling the first to play it?

The three Patrick Moten produced tracks off the 'No Sweeter Love' album are just sublime. I remember Richard Searling playing 'Crazy' it blew me away the first time I heard it. 26 years later, it still blows me away. Proper soul music :-)
  17. Bob is one of the very few DJ's that can play both the northern and modern rooms, and get it right in both. Top DJ
  18. Try and get a photo of the Swallows driving to work Pete, I'd love to see that :-)
  19. The R+B room at Lowton :-)
  20. The Timeless Legend that went through his auction today for £476, was a snip, someone got a bargain there.
  21. Another of Searling's plays, late days of Wigan. Covered up as Robert L Martin. He certainly broke some tunes 78 to 81 that remain dog rare til this day.
  22. Yep. How good is that?
  23. It is funny how how we like or dislike stuff, I put Eddie Parker 'I'm Gone' in the same vein as Larry Clinton, just a wall of noise to my ears !! I know they're both revered, but both leave me cold. I've only just heard the John Harris and the Soul Sayers for the first time today, how good is that? It's a long time since a 60's track has grabbed my attention, like that has. Pete
  24. Searling used to play it definitely, think it was a Sam play first??? I'm afraid it does nothing for me, never has done. Pete
