  1. Why has Sam been able to play Carvers of CD releases, for many years now, with impunity? Yet some guy puts a playlist up, which includes the legit reissue of John Harries, and he gets slaughtered off the OVO brigade. Double standards or what?
  2. Ive got the 'Modern soul story volume 1' double Lp. It's got some great tracks on it, including the ever in demand Stevens and Foster 'I want to be loved' There's a couple for sale on Discogs €45 and $75 . A bit steep, I would have thought
  3. I'm walking down this lonely avenue......
  4. Good shout. It's one of the most heart wrenching songs ever......
  5. Passing seasons all but fade away. 36 years ago I first heard that, and still makes the hairs on my neck stand up

  11. Bobby is in fine voice :-). He is a legend. Altrina sounding pretty good too
  12. Chic were fantastic, really proffessional. Nile Rodgers cool as f**k. Female vocalists were spot on, and the Glastonbury crowd loved them. Great set from them :-)

The three Patrick Moten produced tracks off the 'No Sweeter Love' album are just sublime. I remember Richard Searling playing 'Crazy' it blew me away the first time I heard it. 26 years later, it still blows me away. Proper soul music :-)
  19. Bob is one of the very few DJ's that can play both the northern and modern rooms, and get it right in both. Top DJ
  20. Try and get a photo of the Swallows driving to work Pete, I'd love to see that :-)
  21. The R+B room at Lowton :-)
  22. The Timeless Legend that went through his auction today for £476, was a snip, someone got a bargain there.
  23. Another of Searling's plays, late days of Wigan. Covered up as Robert L Martin. He certainly broke some tunes 78 to 81 that remain dog rare til this day.
