  1. One thing Ive learnt in recent times is that your memories arent necessarily accurate, even if you think they are. Some will be but some won't, I think everyone our age ought to realise this......

Surely it's "just near enough for me to see" ?
  3. I'm the only person Ive ever heard it played out, only known it for about 10 years though - didn't realise it went back to wigan days
  4. It just gets worse......... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/The-Vibrating-Vibrations-Surprise-Party-For-Baby-Right-On-Brother/132423240244?hash=item1ed50a4a34:g:Lm4AAOSwYxBaIpPM
  5. Ive seen many people comment about this situation over the years saying words to the effect - "when all the tourists have lost interest and disappeared then the scene can go back to being underground" Wishful thinking I'm afraid, they aint going nowhere........
  6. Yes thats what I've ended up doing mate, gave him the option of signed for or at his risk
  7. For one single please?
  8. Fantastic record, no idea why its never been a massive tune on the scene.....
  9. All nighters Paul?
  10. 75ish I think? Unbelievable...... I think Ted Massey is around 67/8 as well Who's the oldest regular all nighter attendee? I know one or two in their early 60s
  11. Looks like you're on your own.......
  12. Can we have a poll between these two records to see who agrees with you? Cant get over these memories is one of the finest records ever played on the scene. I just needed to say that...........
  13. Cant comment on pre 78 but from then onwards there was no contest......
  14. No one really knows which is which do they?
  15. Just come back to the UK and it will..............
  16. Maybe not under collectors radar but if you played it at a typical oldies venue I reckon a lot of people wouldn't know it...
  17. Phyllis Brown (was in the Babies) - Oh Baby
  18. I admire your optimism mate but can't agree with the logic you're applying. Its the volume of collectors willing to pay money that will affect the value of records, which is what we're talking about, the number will inevitably decrease - lets not beat around the bush, a lot of us will be dead in 10/20 years! Best sounds on the planet? Of course I agree with that but again, we're in a tiny minority that will become tinier due to my point above. People put forward the argument of new/younger people coming along and worldwide interest etc but i just don't buy it
  19. Absolutely, its inevitable. People who argues otherwise (and there are a lot whenever this subject comes up) are deluding themselves
  20. Yes you were ripped off there mate, mine cost me a fiver around the same time! As has been mentioned someone had hundreds of mint copies and was knocking them out week after week on eBay fetching maybe a tenner on average? Sums up the sad state of record collecting at the moment for mere mortals with a modest budget
  21. Thanks again Mick
  22. The one I've got looks exactly like the discogs one Mick but with different matrix. Do you mean the bootleg has a different typeface?
