  1. a fabulous drummer. his boys brigade spell, gave him great stick control, that shows in every song he recorded on. as a fellow drummer, ive tried to emulate some of those songs, with little success. he was and always will be, a force behind a drum kit. very sad news RIP
  2. oh blimey. terrible terrible news

  20. a GIant has left us. saddened as always, when we lose a friend, but QJ left a legacy that is hard to top . RIP Mr Jones
  21. i missed those. only remember the main ballroom. bodies and bags everywhere
  22. peterborough (various) , Stafford, Clifton hall, Alfreton, Hinckley, Loughboro, Oddfellows..... the early 80's were a whirlwind of venues. ive forgotten more than i remember. some great nights. especially places like oddfellows, that had one room , playing everything, from wheel oldies, to present day releases . superb memories!
  23. Blimey. we had a punch up in Nottm palais, still got a lump on back of my hand, where a shoe hit me. we had to leg it, whilst the bouncers held the instigators at the door (they were clearly out for aggro) i also saw another fight, at St Ives, one of the pugilists is on here, he shall remain nameless 🙃
  24. if its any consolation... i played (at a very well known oldies event) Such misery - the precisions. yup, tumbleweed ! happens to everyone, at some point. any 'DJ' with an ounce of sense, should be able to judge a dancefloor, so out came: 'if this is love' that sorted it 😆🙄
  25. John E Paul : flip it, for aural delight.
