Chess records label info anyone??
just different label fonts i believe, both original. If there is any difference in price or chronology it should be negligible

Discogs "Unofficial Release"
Yes, there has been an industry crackdown, a sign that discogs has now entered the mainstream? Unofficial releases/boots will be getting blocked from the marketplace, you will still see them listed though (since the site was always intended as a discography tool first & the marketplace was an afterthought), over the next while, looks like it has started, many of the "rock boots", TMOQ etc have been blocked in the last week or so.

Just played the Mark Williams version of this the other week. Nice alternative.- Cracked Up Over You
I keep the incorrectly spelled one because it crakes me up. Lee Rogers for me at the moment but I keep both filed & that opinion tends to change back & forth.- Info On Willie West's Fairchild?

The "All you have to do is ask, I'll give until there's nothing left" couplet has always bothered me, should have been a stronger rhyme to fit the rest of the couplets there.- Somebody bring Bobby Patterson back to the UK
that's awesome Noel! if only i wasn't in FL that week!!!- Bill Black's Combo Little Queenie sticker
Yes, UK & US press 45s were often sent to Australia/New Zealand back in the day as promo samples. They primarily went to the related labels there & then the Australian arm of London or whatever would make a decision on whether to release the record locally. The foreign copies were then either distributed out as promos to radio, to local musicians signed to the label to cover, taken home by label employees etc or just destroyed. In some fascinating cases, the label would not release the foreign version but would instead give the record to one of their locally signed acts to learn & record & then release that.- New 45 out
I have another new 45 out on Funk Night Records You can grab it from the label here https://funknight.bigcartel.com/product/fnr-067 Or it should be available from Juno etc too. If you want to hear the tracks they are Tracks 6 & 15 (an edited version) off my album here https://krisholmes.bandcamp.com/album/productions-edits-2006-2016 Two of the others are also still in stock https://funknight.bigcartel.com/product/fnr-065 (Tracks 4 & 1 from the album) https://funknight.bigcartel.com/product/fnr-064 (Edited versions of Tracks 5 & 12 from the album)- News: Rare Soul Uncovered - History Of Northern Soul 1984 Sleeve Notes

shame the liner notes weren't better fact checked/proofread & if they'd just included one (or three if you count the Lee Dorsey duets 45) extra track they could have made it a complete definitive collection of her Sansu sides. So close.- Lee Moses; Never In My Life; Dynamo

Ok, am at work on my phone right now but if you youtube search the label artists & song titles other unrestricted videos will show up.- I have two 45s out today
hmm, the publishing might be US only on the clips, are they showing the "not available in your country" error?- I have two 45s out today
Very happy to announce that released today on Funk Night Records I have two new/old/remastered 45s coming out. You can order them both from funknight.bigcartel.com One is a remastered pairing of the instrumental sides of my first two 45s (He Spoke is the side which has had NS plays & probably the one most on here would be interested in) & the other is a killer lo-fi 6/8 psych/gospel vocal/instrumental pairing of shorter edits of two full length cuts off my last album which are making their first appearance on vinyl. Perhaps a tad outside the Soul Source fan base but maybe some here will dig it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-RwCOIRFOo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fogCEDJDbz8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zaFPu_OC8rc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BiiMnSzOmZo- British bands in USA 1960s ripping off tunes
