Just played a few records and YT vids and read all previous posts. My nominee for the best ever dramatic beat ballads is: anyone disagree?

I know that Brad Lundy and Deena Johnson are the same songs but didn't know that Chuck Jackson did it as well. What is it like?

sure is. looks like seller (or seller's pal) tried to raise winning bid but exaggerated (correct word?) eventually. or seller tested the water to see what it could fetch. 50 quid would be quite cheap tho.

If you have any 'elusive' tunes you don't want us to see, just leave them out of your playlist and post the rest. NB: stig lindberg, must be a sad life if you could dance to uptempo tunes only. i think he sold 1-2 copies individually and then put a batch of around 10 copies on ebay. makes it pretty rare IMO.

Just spotted Billy harner - Got to check you out on V-Tone @ 70 quid on a sales liste from april 2012. Looks pretty cheap to me for a record that is known for a dozen or less copies. Or did more copies turn up since that one find 12/18 months ago?

Do you know more about that loophole? I know the guy/guys behind Marginal used it to issue 100s of bootleg CDs. Might be just urban myth but was told that the bootleggers were safe as long as they sold their "products" only in Belgium but one bloke got busted as he sold his CDs all over the world. Any truth behind that? BTW, are you saying spanish Chubby Checker is not legit?

From an aesthetic point of view the multi coloured US issue is the one to have IMO. UK Pye release might be the rarest but looks boring (again IMO). BTW, Chris if you really think this sounds like an 80s recording you may need to have your hearing aid re-calibrated
