  1. Fats Domino - Packin' up - German Philips (VG++/EX) - £5 SOLD Catchy R&B dancer, very hard to find genuine 1960's german issue. Plays great, check out the sound clip. Audio files recorded from the actual record here. Worldwide postage is £3.10. Within Germany £1.30. Signed for post is £2.00 extra. Paypal only, as gift preferred. Please PM if interested Thanks!
  2. When you look at the scan on Ebay, there's a matrix no. right above the song title. The number is the same as on the US Tabu release so I'd guess it's an US acetate.
  3. At least it sounds like a different mix to the issue (which I used to have). That annoying 'glockenspiel' seems to be not as prominent on the YT version as on the issue
  4. Martha Reeves & The Vandellas - Show me the way - Gordy (EX) £5 Alltime classic Motown, what else is there to say? Martha Carter - Nobody knows - Ron (VG++/EX) £10 SOLD New Orleans R&B. Nice one. Went for double on Soul Source recently. Richard Parker - You're all I need/Got to find a way - C.U.R. (VG+/VG++) £5 Nice crossover double sider.4 clicks and 2 sec's of distortion on a-side and 2/3 clicks on b-side, hence low price. Both sides play EX apart from that. Wilson Pickett - Baby call on me - Double L (EX) £10 SOLD Alltime classic R&B. Fancier label design. Otis Redding/Benny Troy - Loving by the pound/I wanna give you tomorrow - Atco/Delite (NM) £5 Reissue/Bootleg/Pressing/whatever, previously unissued dancer b/w old disco soul fave. Audio files recorded from the actual records here. Can also upload Otis Redding if requested. Worldwide postage is £3.10. Within Germany £1.30. Signed for post is £2.00 extra. Paypal only, as gift preferred. Please PM if interested Thanks!
  5. Martha Carter - Nobody knows - Ron #336 Have it on yellow label with black lettering but seems it also came out on pink label with dark brown or black lettering. Are these just label variations because of different presses or is sort of first and second press thing? TIA Benji
  6. Wanted: Soul Black & Beautiful volume 2 (GWP) in VG+ or better. Fair price paid. Please PM if you can help. Cheers Benji
  7. Vince, same bloke behind both IDs: notorious fake bidder Carlos Espinoza from Mexico. Well known guy who's on a crusade to literally destroy as much ska and reggae auctions as possible. The list of his fake IDs is endless.
  8. I doubt it's Dusty Wilson on vocals. Just played Tomangoes and a few Dusty tracks on Youtube, vocals are quite different IMO.
  9. Mus be a very talented author as I 100% agree with him Same Younger Brothers as on Roulette? They did "I can't forget you" plus one other 45 from what I remember.

  11. For sale: NINA SIMONE - TOUCHING AND CARING - BELLAPHON 7" (GERMANY, with PS) SOLD Sleeve and Vinyl NM. By far the "bestest" copy I ever seen. Modern Soul classic. 12. Yes, I ran labelscans.anorakrecords.de. Took down the site earlier this year as I thought it had run its course by now.
  13. Great podcast! Some truly awesome tracks. Can't wait for pt.2!
  14. Flynny-san, both presses are a bit cheaper this days. I'd say about 400 max each. A golden issue went for $516 just a few weeks ago.
  15. For sale: NINA SIMONE - TOUCHING AND CARING - BELLAPHON 7" (GERMANY, with PS) SOLD £50 incl. worldwide registered P&P Vinyl and sleeve are in lovely shape, at least EX if not better. Best copy I ever seen. Modern Soul classic. German or spanish 45 only release. This is the much rarer german issue. Paypal only, as gift if possible. Please PM if interested Thanks!
  16. I'm an accountant and as a german born w/out any sense of humour, how can i help you?
  17. I almost facepalm about the inflationary use of M- or NM. Both grades mean practically unplayed (give or take 1 or 2 spins). How likely is a 40+ years old record to be unplayed? When I'm selling the best grade I use is EX+ apart from the rare occasions I stumble upon a really unplayed record.
  18. Anyone remember the John Anderson interview in the Big Daddy mag? He mentioned quite a few of todays classic rarities he literally had to sell for a quid each or even throw them into soul packs because nobody wanted to buy them.
