Not going to get involved in any discussion on the various opinions on the 100 Club , just to say I love it , am enjoying it as much as ever ,and but for extreme family circumstances would have been there last Saturday .See you all in December ...Eddie- The 444 Label ?
I remember an article in Black Music , where Tony Cumming's visited The Mecca , and Levine was playing Chris Jackson from a 444 acetate , the only known copy apparently .The record has the same backing track as Total Eclipse " You took your love that was torn to pieces " [ Right On ] .- Spencer Wiggins - Lets Talk It Over
It's interesting to note that P -Vine thought they had the right to release " Let's talk it over " on CD , thinking it a Goldwax track , but not realising the master had been sold to Fame publishing .This is why UK label Kent have only , in recent times released this side , since they gained the rights to the Fame catalogue .- Spencer Wiggins - Lets Talk It Over
I know Rob Marriott's acetate was done from my Japanese CD ,as was Otis Clay " Come my dear " , also Jap CD only ....- Essential 12"s

I love The 100 Club , because of the great friends there , the sense of occasion when visiting London ,and historical values of The 100 Club .Plus of course Butch [ my favourite Rare Soul DJ ] , and Ady ,Keith and the various guests that add a different flavour to the night .Also love Lifeline , musically varied , with the accent on Rare and forgotten sides , nice venue ,and only an hour ,door to door for me .Really like Radcliffe , especially the smaller room , but miss the Soul or Nothing room like hell , it was musically heaven .Like going to Stoke when I can , it's the feel good factor , very positive ,everybody smiling and happy , and reminds me why I got a lifelong bug for Northern Soul ,plus the smaller room can be ,and is very good .Rugby is like family , very friendly , only 45 minutes from home , and the last one was awesome .So here's the thing ....I love or like all the others , but Burnley I simply can't miss , I think it's the excitement level that begins weeks before , carries on in the mini bus with the lads that run it , the setting up and the night its self .The music is usually of a high , gritty tempo , ideal for an All Nighter , and musically varies from ultra rare waxings to £10 cheapies that you've never heard before . This is confusing for me , bacause Crossover Soul is my favourite kind of dance music ,and hardly any gets played , but still I love it .A lot of the DJ's aren't big names on the scene , the venue is perfect , and just has that special indescribable blend of magic , when you know you'd rather be there than anywhere else in the world .........Eddie- What's The Rarest Record On Checker?
