  2. R.I.P Rance A vocal range from falsetto to bass and anything in between, an incredible voice. I played this to a friend only a few days ago as an album track recommendation. The Rance Allen Group - Where Did I go wrong - Stax 1980

  4. The Brothers of Love - Yes I Am There's two different versions by them, this is the first i think. I recently got the second version on Intrepid. Edit - Typo
  5. Triad 502 is not always the great Arcades record. I once thought i'd found a few copies of Arcades and i got three copies of an Ella Thomas record. Same Label, logo and number.
  6. Thanks for the link Mike. I didn't know about this book and would love to read it. Eddies such a big talent in soul music, a great writer, singer , producer, arranger. He has the lot. Eddies been in the game for 65 years, right back to the doo-wap days. I think of Eddie in the same way as i do with the likes of Ben E King, Percy Sledge, or even James Brown. When you've had big million seller hits you become thought of as pop or mainstream music in the UK but these guys are as soulful as they come. They sold millions because they were good. Some of my Eddie Floyd faves That's All It's Me It's Got To Be That Way Your Love Is Heavy Stealing Love I'm So Glad I Met You Stop, Look What You're Doing To Me Watcha Gonna Do with My Heart Since You Been Gone Close To You I Hear Footsteps (Coming Closer) If You Really Love Me You Must Have Been Dreaming Missing You
  7. I've had an original white demo which i think i sold on here, I always prefered the other side "I have learned my lesson". I don't remember checking the run out details at the time but now you mention it JW was probably Jay Walking, Soulvilles sister label. It could of been scheduled for that label then changed.
  8. There's an old boot of the white demo with the same song on both sides. If yours has both songs it's probably an original.
  9. That track is The Harmonics - Let Me Go A nice find, i want one. I've had this many times and not had that version. I think this is the release when the label design changed and it came out on yellow and multi coloured.
  10. If it's played OK for years maybe your stylus is set up wrong. A friend of mine was having sound problems and skipping on his record deck and we noticed the stylus had twisted a bit, instead of pointing straight down in the 6 o'clock position it had moved left slightly. Just 1mm out made a massive difference.
  11. The Velvets - Let The Fool Kiss You - London Japan NM/Ex £70 Nice original Japan release with cool cover and lyrics
