  1. If I had a one off acetate that was fantastic, I would want the real soul fans to hear it played out. But I would never dream of sticking it on you tube. Funny that Butch never felt the need to show off on you tube or social media, thank God. If you dislike look a like boots, why do you make it so easy for people to make them? Oh thanks, even put the label scan up too.
  2. It's called willy waving. Look at me, look at me. Like my great taste in music, and tell me what a great DJ I am. Even worse are the ones who wave somebody else's willy. They haven't got the records, but they are brilliant at finding them on you tube and skilfully pasting them on here or even worse on Facebook. What the Fcuk is that all about? Do they think we haven't heard them before?
  3. I agree Greg, and I did used to do exactly that. I had carvers done off CD's and played them out. I also tried to find out where some of the one off's and acetates had gone. Trouble is, even when I found the owners, they wouldn't part with them at any price. Such a shame that people are deprived of dancing to some fantastic tracks.
  4. Nailed it.
  5. Nothing is as rare as we all thought before the internet. But when you can access the world with one click of a mouse, anything is possible.
  6. Says June 23rd release date on their website.
  7. Released twice on Sassy and then on Gamble. All originals. The first issue white demo on Sassy is the one to own. The flip side is very good on this release too.
  8. Ooo that's nice.
  9. Quality, always loved it.
  10. Everyone saying that would have flattened the guy etc. How do you know the perp wasn't a seven foot gorilla? The OP could have been badly hurt or even killed had he reacted. It only takes one punch.
  11. Ah sorry mate didn't realise. Can't see any problem then.
  12. I was thinking that the l which should be L would have been the law breaker.
  13. I've never understood the attraction for plates that don't actually say what they are supposed to. Some are so obscure it beggars belief.
  14. I'm surprised you don't get stopped with that plate Steve. Will NPR be able to read it?
  15. Wow! Emmitt Long, thought it would have gone much higher. Not my usual type of record but I love it. Wish I had the money.
  16. I tried on the night Russ, but to no avail.
  17. Like I said Kev, I give up. If you can't tell the difference in the sound, then I was just wasting my time trying to make everything perfect. You can't equalise recordings. Graphic equalisers are for live bands. I wanted to listen to Cliff's spot, and I would have attended on a regular basis if I could actually heard what was being played. If I hadn't gone there with Cliff and Stu, I would have walked straight out. I notice that Cliff hasn't Dj'ed there since that night. I wonder why? If you enjoy yourself that's all that matters. But I only go for the music, and I want to be able to recognise what's being played. Boom, boom, boom isn't for me.
  18. The Burnley nighters when I ran them were always very dark. I wouldn't have run it otherwise. The owner didn't give a monkeys for health and safety bullshit, and neither did I. Badly set up PA's are the reason I won't go out anymore. Tried it a few months ago and it was that bad you couldn't tell what the record was that was playing. Yet several people wrote look backs saying the night was brilliant????? I give up.
  19. Can't you just load it up the right way up?
  20. Bit strong.
  21. Just look on JM's web site Steve.
  22. Along with the Eddie Parker on Awake.
  23. There are actually a lot of cheap and easily accessible records that aren't on you tube.
  24. April fool?
