  1. Thanks for the tips- Ill ring them
  2. The Black issue is very rare- The Gold/Blue is a 70s reissue and how people still expect to get the same amount as a Yellow black demo is beyond me
  3. This is going to be interesting as to what you start with and what you finish with. It also depends when you came on the scene and if you were out of it for some time like I was. Can we agree 20 records for the spot?
  4. According to JMs Latest guide only the Rstamped are original. I used to be mad on the compass label when I was young and maybe my mind is going but in the 70s I am sure their was 3 pressing plants used for this record.
  5. I really like that and could see it being played out-somewhere!
  6. Pmd you Ezzie Cheers
  7. Patti Seymour - The Silencer on Solly records
  8. I would like a copy of - St germain - Tourist- Lp on vinyl Anyone help?
  9. John Manship has one for £25 Brilliant record IMO and still in my playbox- thats how much I rate it- But what do I know? Pretty easy to pick one up if you wait for alittle bit less than John but at least your guranteed the grading with John.
  10. Last five purchases for me were 1. Allen harris & perpetual motion - Get ready -Exact change 7" (To go with 12" I already have- Stupid I know) 2. The Pleaders - Shes my girl of the world - Cover up 3. Aalon Bultler - Got to be something - PKC demo 4. Dwight Franklin - Foxy Lila - Dwight Franklin 5. Cold Smoke - Dont fall in love - DWP
  11. If your talking about "The Marvels " Pete - I started a thread on here about it. Just sounds like -my boy lollipop- with an extra horn thrown in.
  12. could be going for money because "Beggin is used on tv in comecials and as backing music for lots of programmes. So some people want it- Otherwise I havnt a clue
  13. Why!Why!Why! Dead simple - Its just a bloody good site - full stop! Now wheres my medication! Ah there it is - My daily dose of Soul-source
  14. A great read, thoroughly recommended to anyone who searching for an unflinching depiction of life in the Midlands, a historical and sociological view of the Northern Soul scene or anyone in need of a life-affirming laugh. Just ask Pete Smith - he will tell you all about it without having to buy a book
  15. Just listening to the Marvels - Sonia on Johns Auction. I know a lot of Reggae /ska have the same beat but is this not just My boy Lillipop with different words and an extra horn thrown in! Pobably why its so bloody rare!
  16. Theo ther one - Im Lost is credited to Sherry & Inverts and your right about Frantic- Too fast to dance to today but back in the 70s would have been fine. I think ther other side is not bad either - but cannot remember the name of it
  17. I have this and think its pretty good Never heard the others by them on finer arts
  18. Absolutely cracking record and should do well!
  19. Am I going daft or what! Does this really happen with these earphones? Next we will have shagging done by remote- You get an orgasm but you dont actually touch anyone at all its sent by thought waves, and to cap it all its got to be silent so theres no moaning and groaning! The answer to Oldies v newies is simple - its called "Across the Board"
  20. I suppose - The Fabulous Kays - Its too late/Take me back - Would be in this ball park as well.
  21. I remember the thread where someone said this! - Its bollocks as I think I mentioned Magic night was released on pye before the roulette copy came out in America by accident(Something to do with licensing rights hold up) and the pye copy came out a week or so before the roulette copy. does that mean no-one is allowed to play the Us copies? Crap! Talking about Jerry Butler I recently got aUk demo of Kevin Areetlys version of One night affair- Anyone know this version?
  22. Alan - This my understanding The soul galore records were something to do with Soussan if my memory serves me as I dont have any of them at all. Would be intersting to see a total list for the label and all the colours used
  23. Yes Good record I would be interetsed! Was on Manships at £78 with a few minutes left! ATB Steve
  24. I saw the Satisfactions at £318 which to me is an absolute joke - its not that rare - usually is a round the £80 to £100 mark for either issue or demo so over £300 is sheer madness IMO
