Mad, all of it.. ! one thing does nag, its reported at 'The' Worlds rarest record, I know its splitting hairs, but when it is one of possibly three Soul demo copies and a test press.. its not a singular item in that sense... I had to say it :0) also can somebody send this dude my latest sales list, I could be in there...

Kenny Carter - where & when?
I don't know the exact answer to the question, I'm far far too young! however, don't we know that the flip 'showdown' was a Dave Godin favourite, I think he mentions the track in the deep soul CDs. So it's feasible it was played about the time a copy arrived at the soul city shop? Given that Dave would have immediately raved about it, and it would have been no time until it was flipped? It's a theory. Lol The other place I remember seeing it, was on one of Richard Searlings early comps for RCA, there maybe some clues in the notes on there? Or drop Richard a note.. Mal

Sad News on the passing of Freddie Cole
Nor I Robb until I saw the linked obituary. Also did not know anything about Eddie, but he has a wiki page >>HERE<< which says he was the eldest of ten children, inc obviously Nat. I always thought Freddie's voice sounded like Nat King Cole, just never bothered to check it...

Sad News on the passing of Freddie Cole
Only just learnt of this, I knew Freddie's music via the very much loved 'I'd Have it Made' on Tru-Glo-Town Records, a very beautiful beat ballad. Rest in Peace. Freddie Cole died 27th June, 2020 after a career of almost seventy years singing and playing piano. He was 88 years old. Born Lionel Frederick Cole in Chicago, October 15, 1931, Freddy Cole was younger brother to Eddie, Ike and Nat "King" Cole. https://allaboutjazz.com/freddy-cole-leaves-the-stage-freddy-cole

Ebay Results - June 2020 - All The Top Auction Results
It is a good track Benji, be honest I got bored of it eventually and sold mine, don't think I'd get bored of the Sequins as quick, think the Sequins is a rarer 45, so the prices by my reckoning are the wrong way round...not that there is allot in it. I don't know about the low rider scene, but I am following a few folks on mix cloud now that publish mixes, there are some really great slowies from those folks... hope your well mate mal
