Ao my ears are working ok, they are different takes but the same artist? It was covered up as Lewis Clark by Saus back in the early to mid 90's.

And does anyone know the second track, sorry it is so brief.

Is this track Sammy Hawkins? It is the same record and same backing etc but the vocal sounds slightly different to these ears, not as sharp. Is it just the source material, this is from a tape, I presume the youtube clip is from vinyl?

Just as an aside, what is the LP worth these days?

Butch told the story on here, he had had it a long time, didn't rate it and was in his shit box. Andy Dyson bought it or traded it and covered it up and it went big in no time. It was more than £25. Nick Brown had it mid 90's as well but don't think he did a deal with it. Very few copies about and none for sale.

It might have dropped to 300/400 quid with the find but it didn't take long before it was back to around £700 and that was with copies still in circulation. That was also several years ago. It wasn't surprising given that there is very little supply of this but plenty of demand that it fetched what it did on JM's auction. Over priced? Maybe? I still would have expected around £800 to £1k if someone had asked before the auction.

I thought Clarkie had one ad well but just checked and it was the Empires he had also. Hardly recent discovery, was 30 years ago......just remained rare.

Oh Baby...

One Dance is great but there is also a fantastic take on Globe by The Creations 'Oh Baby'. Andy Dyson has a copy, Kev Murphy, At least one other Lifeline resident played it when we was at Stables, could've been Butch........I think JM auctioned one, at least one through ebay, there are copies out there, not many but there are some. there was at least two copies back in the 80's.

Few copies kicking about that I know of. Certainly had spins at Lifeline.

Apparently Saus had a record covered up as Billy Joe Royal and it actually was him? He just changed the titel, that is all he can remember. It might jog his memory when he listens.
