  1. Some seem to be acting 5 years old
  2. I can't believe this is even being discussed?
  3. Other way round Win, Butch first as well as Jesse James "it's Alright". Butch covered his take of WOH as The Sherry's.
  4. Oddfellows was Feb 1982 to 85/86 I think? The club continued though and even had the odd anniversary back at Oddfellows.
  5. Guy also ran Tony's from 1987 to 1990 or early 1991, I would have to get the echoes out at the weekend.
  6. No sorry. Andy Rix might be able to add more or correct anything I said that isn't correct.
  7. This is Richards I think. It is one one JM auctioned, not sure if it went to Gary Fields at one time?
  8. That one I am sure is the same as the one Robb K recorded that was first played here. The other similar version is the one RS has I think, i'd have to listen and compare but that could also be the speeded up version that was booted. Then there is the one Chris King put on CD with different lead and slower.
  9. I have to agree with you Pete, few years ago you could get it for £125, I saw it sold for that, Andy Dyson sold it for that at the Wilton. Then couple of years ago it was reactivated by a few, Butch being one and the demand and price shot up. It might be tough to get a copy now but that is simply because people aren't selling, few years ago very few were interested in it.
  10. It has fetched 400 odd and Kev Roberts offered 750 for one which is crazy. It wasn't that long ago it was less than 200 but every man and his dog wants it now.......
  11. There is a scan on here and tht is the one Searling has or had, it isn't the take played during the 80's. I doubt were was one track and then played with a little as the takes are so different, one is even a different lead, one has wah wah guitar or something like with a early 70's feel about it.
  12. The fast version is a recording of the slow one on a dodgy tape recorder.
  13. At least one original acetate in this country, there is certainly another although where it is I dunno. There is at least 5 takes I think.
  14. Goole mate, from the back garden. I've a rough idea where it is. If it is heard again at the weekend will get out with camera.......I would have Sunday but i was too fragile with a hangover
  15. Been listening to a cuckoo all weekend but didn't manage to catch a glimpse of it. If it is still cuckooing next weekend I will be out looking for it.
  16. What about the stamp in the run out. ZTSC 126028 2A (Why Girl) ZTSC 126029 2A (WIW), What is the ZTSC number Sugar Ain't Sweet?
  17. If someone buys this cd,that isn't into the scene they will at least hear records other than classic wigan stuff. If they find they like it they might just look beyond the usual classics.

50/70 quid, what lunatic is paying that? I sold one recently for £15, that was all it is worth IMO. Quality double sider though but rare is one thing this certainly isn't.
  22. Get the LP, easier than the 45, the right version and other good tracks on it too.

This England only 30 minute isn't it. Have they included outtakes or some other stuff?
  24. Awesome. Like Sean, sure I'd seen some other footage in the past. If Dick Clark or anyone else has material like this is should be out there for posterity.
