  1. I'd seen that one and when listened no spoken intro... https://www.rarenorthernsoul.com/hot-new-releases/14355/just-like-the-weather---if-he-makes-you/#product reissue = boot I take it?
  2. The posting of mp3's on this site are not allowed except with sales. I've just unapproved two topics with mp3's and have removed mp3's everyday this week. All should know about this by now, certainly some of those posting mp3s. One has even reposted the mp3's after having them removed. Please do not post anymore mp3's. Site Rule for the benefit of all... Posting or requesting Mp3s Due to copyright issues posting or requesting mp3s on all forums (except if posted with sales ) is not allowed. Forum House Rules
  3. welcome aboard Rod and best of luck
  4. MP3 request removed, sorry. Also removed blatant website sales plug. Why not just give info about a particular record?
  5. Both are on a 1987 Carrie LP of Clifford's. Previous topic at
  6. Chalky replied to Dennisoul's topic in Record Wants
Sandbag is the one you want Andy, well its the one Guy played.
  7. you got a link to this Pete?
  8. Neil is on here maybe ask him? He might have a copy of the Richie Parker/Aaron Neville, so George may have been right.
  9. I wouldn't say £867 cheap Marc, about right maybe? If you'd asked me few weeks ago how much I would have thought 800 for Melvin Davis. One on popsike from two yeas ago which sold for $1300. Have seen others for sale over the last couple of years.
  10. Dickie bought it (Sandy Golden) off Rob , three records in the deal.
  11. some of the prices yes but there are plenty, no, loads of decent records at decent prices and plenty of reasonable, cheap and reliable dealers, you should look at little harder you might spot them.
  12. I knew it was someone else but couldn't think who off top of me head, was sat in traffic too so couldn't look. Dunno about you but I don't particularly like the version. Butch's copy definitely Mill Edwards...... Sound files of all versions in refo but will have to wait till it is up and running in the near future.
  13. I don't think the argument will every get resolved, its been going on in one form or other since the late 70's.
  14. Keep your opinions coming, just seemed strange first post against one venue in particular. The funky stuff played all over I'm afraid, I'm not keen on the real funky stuff but each to their own.
  15. Ion had/played this mid 80's first.
  16. Butch's copy is Mill Edwards, Exodus test press/acetate. The Ritchie Parker is an old Poke spin I think.
  17. unless items for sale are out of the ordinary and exceptionally rare then please list all sales in on post, thanks. Topics merged.
  18. I thought the 7 inch with PS was the Drizabone to have? Anyway I sold one for £200 once on ebay
  19. Great set Bob Will tho and download later Did you ever suss out that iTunes link? Be much easier if you could as it would be waiting for me automatically
  20. Win, from what I can see this is Tammy's first post on the Soul forums of the site, the others (only made 5 in total) seem to have been in freebasing. Call me a cynic if you like but to me it suggests Tammy has another agenda? Anyway I'm not gonna keep defending Lifeline, we've had a couple of quiet nights in the 3 and half years at Stables, the rest have been near, at or above capacity. The music policy is quite clear in what Lifeline is trying to promote. I can't think of another all-nighter doing the same as Lifeline? Sure there are others playing something different but they are by and large from the 60's only. We have been doing the same for almost 8 years, proud of what we have achieved as well and will continue to do the same as long as the support is there. Lifeline not in it for a profit, just to make enough to ensure there is another one but if the support not there then the promotion won't be there. Sure that is the same for any promoter. Everybody has there favourite venue, favourite DJ's, favourite music etc but if some are gonna criticise other venues they should get their facts right.
  21. we have had a couple of quieter nights this year at Lifeline, mainly due to the large amount of events on the bank holiday weekends but the floor has still been busy. Prior to these we've had by and large a full house every time with a full floor. Can you post an intro please and let other members know a bit about you, thanks. /forum/57-members-shouts-and-intros/
  22. I've noticed the younger element getting into records like this, Paul Barker at Beat Boutique for one has been giving it some spins.
  23. It's always had the odd spin (Stafford biggie for Keb) and a few years ago you could pick it up cheap here.....I was certainly giving it spins ten years ago. It seems to be getting a new lease of life and there is lots of interest in it of late, bound to have an effect on the price. I said not long ago probably about £70 now a days.
  24. It's a thank less task now promoting Nige, like you say you simply can't win. I often wonder if it is worth the hassle.
