Can I add that viewing on iPhone when you put the record title etc in the topic description we don't know what you are talking about. Can you add it to your initial post as well?
  2. didn't they have a falling out? The guy who originally ran it went and set up another Detroit Forum and Ralph Terrana taking the reins at SoulfulDetroit? You could always try the RareSoulForum if you just want anorak stuff.
  3. But that is all it's worth in reality, past prices have been inflated with people having more money than sense, now times are harder collectors are no longer prepared to pay over the odds just to get a record. Genuine rarities collectors are still prepared to stump up some cash.
  4. can we have a smiley with two fingers up
  5. Great record it is too, but don't play it at four o'clock in the morning, Terry will go home as it ain't fast enough

seen anywhere between £40 and £70. £50 bout right I thinks but will get tougher to get as seems to be getting pretty popular.

  9. Depending on what I've been asked to play and the venue's music policy and if I have the record in the box I will play a request.
  10. Sorry Tim, missed that post, not that I'm aware but then it wouldn't be a biggie, not had the chance. Andy was on at the Sunday All-dayer Mick H put on at the Amici Bar. Next one August bank Holiday I think. PS. Tranells/Philladelphians c/u was Keb first wasn't it? then onto Rob Marriott?
  11. The Willie Tee is probably the "newest" biggie listed, it has been known about for some time but only played out really in recent times, Sir Joe getting the recognition it deserves and as Tony said Parliaments has been around for a few years now. The rest are practically oldies now. Butch is playing some fabulous stuff at times, so is Andy Dyson, he played some great stuff in Notts last weekend. Butch's Four Perfections cover up one of his current biggies, Eddie Daniels reactivated by both Butch and Andy Dyson getting noticed once again, did it ever get any serious turntable action in the past?Just gonna go and listen to Alfie's selection.

  13. I've often said you can get this for £20/£30 etc.or the best £25 I've spent...summat like that.
  14. definitely unreleased as a 45 Franc until I think Kent put it out a while back. Guy was spinning this mid 80's.
  15. just a coincidence Mal, the mercury acetates played long before Kent got into Ben Lee and likewise for Tim & the Goldmine cd.
  16. Butch's copy is a Mercury acetate, Tim Brown has another Mercury acetate, don't think there is much difference in tempo etc, different intro and different lead singer. Butch (and tim) has played his for years, long before it was put out by Dave Brown. Not heard him play it for a while though.
  17. think there's been many a biggie since this one Vince, might pack the floor but so does the snake

I suppose BB holes are are part of the territory that goes with collecting rare records. I don't know a dealer who downgrades because of them and many don't even mention them.
