  1. Judy Stokes the last time I saw one for sale was £400, put it on one of Andy Dyson's list for that as well some time back. £400 still according to JM guide 5.
  2. anyone got a decent sound file of the Little Curtis?
  3. Thats Rob for sure. First one is Judy Stokes - A Real Man - Soul Power. I'm trying to remember the 2nd track struggling tho'
  4. same track both sides.....one is part two, can't remember if it's an instrumental or more vocal, definitely not the slower take though, that's another release. Not sure of the numbers either, I did scan 'em both but can't find 'em. The faster take is longer if memory serves me correctly. Soundfiles of both takes on the Lifeline website, link under my name below.
  5. anyone record this or is there a podcast, can't see one on the site
  6. Depends what you mean by quantity, Tim got 6 or 7 copies didn't he?
  7. I'd got a feeling this would be a tough one And it was a 60's promo photo, preferably the Attractions but one of Morris would have done. Ah well.....thanks anyway
  8. Anyone got a decent scan of a promo photo of Morris Chestnut or better still the Attractions??
  9. Paypal will do Stuart Interesting read. I trust she had a good time at the Woodside
  10. looks better already Mike haven't got to sort through sales that have been up there days weeks and even longer in some cases.....sales that no one obviously wants
  11. Is that the acetate you refer to as original copy Ady or an actual issue? I always thought that it existed only on the Virtue Acetate too, no actual release.
  12. Chalky replied to Mike's topic in Record Sales
why do they have to say pm'ed you in the first place. The seller will know he or she has a pm
  13. Chalky replied to Mike's topic in Record Sales
the listing of sales in the order of date posted is probably the best idea Mike.....sooner the better IMO. There's still sales "topics" running that are months old......you'd think the seller would have realised by now no one wants what they have to offer after so long. I get tired of searching through all the "bumped" lists to find the new stuff and just give up. Time for some is limited.

I could list more Mand I love oldies.....
  17. Gotta agree Joan it is terrible and cannot see the appeal personally. Perhaps covering it up glams it up a bit and makes it more acceptable cause I doubt it would ever get a second look otherwise.
  18. there's an alternative studio take complete with 1,2,3 intro etc on here in refosoul that I posted some time ago. Someone said it might be the take used on the cd release, I've not compared 'em so couldn't tell you to be honest.
  19. Kenny's, Tim's, a third copy?.....everything will come out in the wash as we say up 'ere Ian
  20. Frank Wilson didn't just consider himself a writer, he was a singer as well and recorded on other labels under different names too (Sonny Daye). It was Berry Gordy who persuaded him his future was in writing and not recording.
  21. It was Kenny that John approached about selling/auctioning the FW, that is what Kenny said last week and I said as much early on and it didn't really take any working out really did it. Kenny did say he didn't want to sell and it would take a suicidal bid to prize it from him and if auctioned would have a suicidal reserve. JM's book price is £25k is it not. There is no 3rd copy as far as I know and the copy referred to as being for auction is Kenny's as far as I am aware but it will have a (in Kenny's words) a suicidal reserve. My guess is it will be auctioned with the mammoth reserve and if it doesn't sell then Kenny will not be bothered one bit. Why would John come and put to bed all the rumours, he's getting plenty of great free advertising
  22. Been two or three on ebay, cheaper than $676 as well. Andy Dyson probably responsible for it's reactivation....not sure but think Andy sold it to Mick H as well? Know he had a spare or two a while back.....long gone tho now!
  23. To make money, it was business at the end of the day and if something is popular cash in on it.
  24. I agree Chris. IMO they are just album fillers, short of summat better at the time to fill the lp
  25. I agree with you Steve. There was a rumour that a west coast Dj had copy of FW, first heard that one back in the 80's. Plenty of myths/hysteria/hype surrounding this record and many other records on the scene. If they were fact I think with the price the record commands many of the mythical ones would have surfaced by now
