Motown bassist James Jamerson gets a proper headstone
That brass guitar wouldn't last two minutes in this country. It would have been nicked and weighed in within days. Let's hope the same doesn't apply in Detroit but somehow I doubt it. Legend or not some scum bag won't give a shit. RIP JJ.

Import tax
I bought an album from the states and when it didn't arrive checked the US Post tracker and found it had been held by the UK post office to pay tax. I never received the card the post office usually send and when I contacted the post office they said they'd sent the package back to the sender. The sender never received it and I was left with sweet FA because the post office wankers couldn't do their friggin job. No apology, they didn'd give a monkeys. It doesn't encourage you to buy from the USA particularly when the UK postal service is full of imbeciles and grasping tax parasites. wanting to nail you for a 50 year old record.

Looking for a decent copy Ex or better. Thanks- Most Miserable Records Ever
Syl Johnson = Is it because I'm black Miserable but brilliant. https://youtu.be/6JNwqRF32ZI- Barbara Hall - Big Man/Broken Hearted
Hi Anyone got a copy of Barbara's finest on Tuska, VG or better for sale? Thanks- Record Box Trackers ?
It doesn't look to have a very big range. If someone took off with your records you need something that can track wherever they get to like the apple find my phone app. I couldn't imagine any thief would hand around within 200 feet. A satellite enabled tracking device would be a great idea though.- Comedy Sale Of The Day
Hilarious.- Dottie & Millie
- Dottie & Millie
Does anyone know if Dottie & Millie talkin' about my baby was ever booted. If so how do I tell the difference between original and boot? Thanks- Doh! - Al Foster Band (Night of the wolf) is a fake artist
Just to throw another twist on Al Foster Band I recall reading this on the Raresoulie site which claims Al Foster was a jazz drummer from Richmond Virginia. Looks like they need to revise their description. https://www.raresoulie.co.uk/page-10.html- A Bit Rude-Ish Flower Shoppe
Does the overtly rude Blow Fly come into this category? Not quite Esther Phillips but a good effort. WARNING - ADULT CONTENT ( Wouldn't want to be accused of 'inappropriate' behaviour)- Jackie Shane
An interesting article in the New York Times about the illusive Jackie Shane and the recent release of a double album/CD www.nytimes.com/2017/10/15/arts/music/jackie-shane-transgender-soul-pioneer.html- Comedy Sale Of The Day
Not exactly mind blowing as the description would have you believe. I'd give a tenner for it. That's ten quid not ten grand.- Blue-eyed Soul?

J. Blackfoot I Stood On The Sidewalk & Cried Could bring a tear to a glass eye !- those "sad" records you play late at night
Gladys Knight & The Pips What Good Am I Without You- Bunny sigler
Excellent squeez box music thingy by the sounds of it!- Song ID Help
If you know what radio station it was many have a playlist for any particular day/dj on their web page, certainly the BBC stations.- Stax at the Proms
Thought it was a great show and particularly on a Saturday night when it's usually crap. Beverley Knight was superb, Booker T Green Onions was brilliant, but I must say I thought Eddie Floyd sounded pretty ropey. Still good to see the original artists in the flesh performing some classics. Not sure TJ brought much to the party. He's a great voice if you like that kind of thing but maybe not a Stax singer. Still could have been worse, that bell end Bono could have muscled in on the action!- Comedy Sale Of The Day
A bit like some of those hideous pieces of crap Simon Suosann used to knock out, haha They were BAD Now this is a bloody comedy sale - Northern Soul my arse https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/The-Electronics-Love-Love-Love-7-Vinyl-Northern-Soul-US-Press-/152656724062?hash=item238b0cc05e:g:MasAAOSw5U9Ziy17 - Papa Bear And The Cubs Just out.
