  2. Great film and your right Trev , seems like an eternity away ... great gig as well .
  3. Didn’t know your Mum, but certainly the right place to post to see if someone does, fingers crossed. Heartfelt condolences to you and all your family for your sad loss. Just had my partners brothers funeral , who also lost his life in hospital to this deadly virus. Feel you all of you, and I’m sure there won’t be a dry eye when Tobi gets played. RIP Jennifer Stone
  4. Very shocked and saddened to hear this news . Never met Dave in person but you could tell he had a great love and knowledge of the music and a host of vivid memories from back in the day. Such a tragic end .RIP Dave
  5. Surprised it’s not Β£149 then as they probably bought all the remaining stock 😜
  6. Don’t you just love some of our more entrepreneurial ebay sellers. I love this one especially

  9. Very sad news , and as others have said , this year has been a very tough for a lot of us .. and this is yet another very sad loss to the whole Soul community. RIP Keith .
  10. Wanted - Any kind of Northern memrobillia ... Patches / Flyers / Membership Cards / Tickets / Posters ... anything from the late 60’s - 70’s and early 80’s . I’m willing to pay a really good price. Or if your a collector and have swaps, then I have quite a few to trade. I understand that sometimes these things are hard to let go of .. but if you need to realise some hard cash or just find that these things are sitting in a draw or a tin somewhere, then get in touch. They would go to a very good home. Keep safe Steve
  11. MADDY - Problem (20.10.15).mp3 A mate of mines daughter has just started working for a music company in London and her first piece of work is with β€œ Quite Man & Maddy β€œ Hope I’ve uploaded it right so you can hear , as it’s not been released yet and she’s in the process of shooting the vid for it . Taken a lot from Stevies early work on the TONTO ... and I don’t think it’s too bad . What do others think ? She’d appreciate the feedback . MADDY - Problem (20.10.15).mp3
  12. Yes Steve - i should be able to find a half decent one spare for you pal . PM you .
  13. I know is a great album but it’s not even my top Marvin Gaye album to be honest. My favourite is his double LP β€œHere My Dear β€œ written while his marriage was collapsing .... and you can hear the pain in every track . But this is one of my prize possessions , signed by the great man himself
  14. Had the privilege of seeing both of these ladies sing this song live and although the backing of the Daptones sometimes overpower the vocals as others have said , Betty’s vocals win hands down .. easy choice .
  15. Take our bikes into Whinlatter Forest Park whenever we are up - stunning trails .. your so lucky to live in thar part of the world - High and Low Lorton both so beautiful Dave ..
  16. Walk round Buttermere today and a very cheeky Red friend came over to say well done for finally winning the Premiership !

Very sad news - one of the true legends . RIP Tony
  22. Totally agree - and I remember reading the same article . And Soul emanates from the horn of J. W.
  23. Looking for a decent copy that plays out well .. but don’t really want or am able to pay JM price .. PM with details Thanks in advance
  24. Fingers crossed it goes ahead 🀞 I had 10 great years living in Gypsy Hill and then down the road in Anerley .. Had many happy weekends in the park and at some great gigs at the bowl - Level 42 a good one and lots of Classical Bowl concerts . Sadly there have been lots of rumours and stories about developments around that area that never got off the ground. And a heard a disturbing story the other week that someone vandalised the nose of one of the very distinctive dinosaurs that are dotted around the park. There was also a maze and a statue of Guy the gorilla I seem to recall . Must make a visit if it does reopen ! Thanks for the info Firecrest .
