Thanks to the navigator sticking to his flight-plan I managed to catch XH558 on her way home from today's south-coast displays , a short drive over to a nice high vantage point at Hundon gave me a great view ... Stitched the frames together in a short animation to save clogging SC up with 40 individual shots ... Best viewed at 1080.

£5400 won it.

Can't quite get my head round the moves from cardi-boy in the opening few seconds ... Glad it was just a 40 odd second piece that will have gone unnoticed by most viewers ....

Just a quickie to illustrate the apparent 3.4% difference in size of the Sun between Perihelion and Aphelion this year , the points in the Earth's orbit when it's at it's closest to and furthest from the Sun. Not strictly accurate as I couldn't get a shot today at Aphelion. 2nd January 2015 24th June 2015
