SAS Soul Club Of Great Britain
Thought he did Steve, as he was still on the circuit, but it's a long time ago! I do remember hearing The Creations "Just Remember Me" (can't remember C/U artist which is a pain! - tip of the tongue..) and thought that was Gary at the time but I must be mistaken.. Were you on there? I'll have a dig around in the loft Chalky and see what I can find..

SAS Soul Club Of Great Britain
Weren't the Sheffield Rebels All Nighters SAS events? 1981 - I reckon, right after Wigan closed , I vividly remember Richard playing Ruby Wilson "I Thought I Would Never Find Love" off her Malaco LP and that was a 1981 release. It always seemed to snow heavily when it was on.... Richard, Gary, Arthur, Sam(?) and others no doubt.. I'll have tape listings in my old book if it helps Chalky.

Peterborough Allnighters 1980 onwards
Hi Chalky, I think Steve G will be your man for this as he was in Peterboro at the time. I remember seeing both Guy and Keb there just as they were trying to get the Mafia thing going... The Fleet never seemed to be that receptive to new stuff (60's or Modern) on the occasions I went from what I recall..

id a couple of tunes please
Hi Coddy, Number two could be King Foot "Drifting" - a Soul Bowl indie 45 from the early '80's .. Don't think it was a 12 though... Cheers, Robin

Notts Pally Allniters
Hi Steve, pretty sure Chris King ran a few straight after Stafford closed. This makes them '86/87? Can remember talking to Marc Farley at one of them so that ties in with your recollections. May have been joint venture? We were in Bali Hai before going upstairs when nightclub emptied. I did the first couple and was on early doors. Seem to recall the ones in '79/'80 were all Bank Holiday Sunday nights. Got some tape listings and dates from those - As you say - Richard, Sam, Gary, Arthur ,Dave Raistrick - some quality music at these Nighters.

John Manship's Tease Auction
If this is Dick's copy...here again is the story of how it came over here in the first place. Massive credit to long time Soul fan Nello Cotugno of Cleveland, Ohio - who found this at a record fair in the Cleveland area in the early 1980's. Nello reluctantly gave it to me in the early 1990's.(Must have been the arm up the back..) I sold it to Richard due to personal circumstances at the time. I understand Richard then gave it to Dick. The rest is history!

Has Sandy Golden On Masterpiece Been Booted?
Blindingly obvious observation on the Sandy Golden saga... Nate Fortier is on Twitter.. Has anyone asked him about SG?? https://twitter.com/mrnate477 ....Just dipped back into thread and seen that others have previously been in touch with him and that he's not been well.......,

Ray Barney (Barney's Records) Record Hunting In South Side Chicago
Barney's was an influential House Music press and distributor in the 80's - I spent a memorable day there in '92 buying bulk of local Collectable House labels ..Alleviated, Gherkin, etc. We had quite a stash by late afternoon.. When it came to settle up Ray Barney was nowhere to be found...and the deal had to be done with him..when we came back a couple of hours later the doors were shut and the locals were starting to come out to play as dusk approached...ended up making an unscheduled stop overnight (in a motel that looked like it had blood stains on the divan base)...went back Sat morning to be told by Ray that he was there the previous evening - but access is only from the side door due to the dodgy locals that hang out front!

Just a quick one Chalky to say thanks for all the hardwork on these and all the other's Podcasts. It's great personally to see so many records I enjoyed playing so much captured for posterity. Nice one.(Also thank gawd that's the end of the dodgy photos!)

Hi Richard, trust you're keeping well... Yes, remember calling around your flat in Nottingham with Ozzie one Monday night in '86 and getting Hugh Boynton for £80, Charisma Band for a fiver or less, and Young Devines "Ain't That Sharp". A most enjoyable evening!
