Hi Len If you're happy with the deal and the service what is wrong with leaving positive feedback. Why do you need a prompt? Just interested. JB

Also, sold 30+ 45s on ebay recently - very few feedbacks ( I left positive for all the buyers!) Lazy, ignorant or just plain tossers? I don't know.

Pete Coulson. R.I.P
I've been informed that Pete's funeral will take place on Thursday 4th April at Overdale Crematorium in Bolton at 2.30. A celebration of Pete's life will take place afterwards at Farnworth Cricket Club. Many, many DJ friends lined up to pay tribute to Pete. Everyone welcome.

Solmon King Visit to Barrow-in-Furness? 1968
Interesting story. September 2017. Just come back from DJing at Hitsville Weekender in Mojacar and we're at a wedding in Keswick. Sitting at a table with four other guests we didn't know, ( tamla on as the background music) so Mrs B starts to interview these four about who they are and why they were there. Anyway, we get around to talking about the background music and this guy says' my dad was a soul singer and had a top ten hit' to which Mrs B replies ' what's his name' to which the answer comes ' Solomon King but you won't have heard of him'. I then start singing Beautiful Day and the guy looks aghast. Mrs B says' you weren't expecting that were you?'. Interestingly the guy, Alex King, had never heard the record so he was soon 'googling' and playing it to his wife and their two friends saying 'that's my dad singing'. We had a brilliant day/evening. Unfortunately he did not have a box of 50 stashed in the loft!!!! The SWONS ?

Manship - Friday half price sales
Have you seen the c**p that John is trying to get rid of in his Friday Half Price sales? ( not just this week but for ages now). A few years ago he offered some decent stuff at reduced prices and it was fun trying to judge when to buy when the price was dropping! Nowadays it looks like he's just trying to get rid of stuff that will never sell at the original asking prices. I don't have a problem with John ( I do bid on and occasionally win on his auctions) but blinking heck, put the half price stuff in soul packs!

Bug bare of 2019
I had sounds like Bricks broken bottles, Skip Jackson, Jack Montgomery around 1969/1970 but only played them at home as they weren't fast enough for the scene then. Imagine my surprise when I started going out again and heard them being 'played out'. I was also told by the person who bought my collection remnants around 1987 that they were 6 copies of the Constellations - I don't know about you - in the collection ( again wrong tempo at the time) Hindsight is a wonderful thing!!
