Wigan 78 - It Was As Bad As This?
There was more record buying and selling going on in the first 30 minutes of Wigan than you get all night at any of today's venues. And for every duff 45 there was a great 45 spun. That's why for me it was better than most present day venues. ROD

Top Notch Indemand 60’S Northern Originals
Lads, you are lessening chances of a sale here. If you don't agree with prices or descriptions then there are other ways of doing it elsewhere on the site. A quick glance at Randy's fb shows he has sold 4 45s at least this year so no reason to doubt multiple copies explanation. So no more on here please. ROD [Forum Moderator]

Northern Soul - Selling The Faith
I'm surprised nobody has come up with one of those magazines where over 23,876 weeks you can build up your own scale replica of the Casino. ROD

Facebook V Soul Source
Mal, I wish you'd let me know these type of things. There are guidelines for Sales but I don't stipulate exactly how ads should be laid out. Deals are between members. I noticed an ad today with no grading or guarantee as to refund if buyer not happy. As a buyer I just ignore them. However if you [or other members reading this] do get problems with such let me know, particularly where recently joined. ROD

John Manship Auction Results 12-3-2014
I'm not falling out. It is annoying, like Pete S mentioned earlier, that somehow the service offered by other good dealers is not seen as equal to JM standard. The fb is for selling. ROD

John Manship Auction Results 12-3-2014
Peter, I was just replying to setting the standard comment. For me the standard was poor hence no second bid. That's as a buyer. As someone who ran a record business involving going to US for stock, selling 45s at clubs, record fairs, at the stall and by mail order seems rather disorganised if the claim is that JM is superior in any way to other dealers. You may care to look at my fb on here. ROD

John Manship Auction Results 12-3-2014
John sets the standard in a business in which other auctions such as those of Tim and Pat, are called into question. I bid once on JM's auction. I won it with just the one bid of £400 for Sam Ward some years ago. I got an email notification I'd won. So first available opportunity I phoned to sort out payment. I was told record was lost or misplaced. Took a few, often irate, phone calls to sort out and after a week it turned up and I was able to pay. Though it ended well for me I was not impressed and didn't bother again. ROD

Donkit Playbox Sell Off
Don, If you get orders that aren't honoured and they don't get in touch to retract offer then leave a negative. Why you should be apologising for asking for prompt payment due to behaviour of a few is beyond me. Let us all know who they are. They may be wasting others' time too. ROD [Forum Moderator]

Brunswick Re-Issues (Gold And Styrene)
Always thought they looked cheap and tacky. Labels tend to peel and wear. Prefer the original DJ copies myself. Now there are things of beauty to behold. ROD

I think it's original too. But still waiting to see the L1014 and RB123s copy. ROD

James Lewis : Manifesto
Had a look at JM 5. In his pics there are 2 with LEGEND in red. One of these has ZTSC matrix according to his notes. Other is orig. However in notes it states RB132s and L1014A in deadwax for original. So either he is wrong or there is another red Legend which Ian and Scal have without RB that is also a boot ? ROD

James Lewis : Manifesto
Yes I know Ian. Obv interested cos as you know I offered you Scal's copy and that doesn't have rbs either. I'm still no wiser. Somebody on here may have this format ? ROD

Discogs Seller To Avoid
Had a look at this. I've removed some comments from Sean that I feel are descending into unwarranted rancour. Better to stick to the facts. I looked at the fb on Discogs and there are a couple of neutrals and negatives referring to items received in a lesser condition than described. And as Pete points out there's also the possibility of damage on opening. As there is a claim through Pay Pal I think I will close this unless anyone has anything pertinent to add. Thank you ROD [Forum Moderator]
